No, of course no need to stay 'locked' inside their 4 walls miserable & depresssed. Nobody is saying that. Why suggest someone prefers such an extreme just because they comment on rank stupidity? Of course some of them are going to get it and pass it on, including to older relatives, colleagues, friends. Just because you are outside it doesn't mean you can't catch it or pass it on. This thing is for real. Absolutely no need to turn up in their hundreds like that. Stupidity. No regard for their families and older contacts. As someone else said, along the lines of, I'd rather walk past the closed pub door for the next few weeks with people adhering to the guidelines so that in a few weeks time we can go in the pub. This stupidity doesn't help.
This is the bloke who conned the lady out of £160 for a fake jab. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-55680856
Young people have as much chance as anyone else of catching it and passing it on as any age group. The effects on them might be less than those that the idiots pass it onto though. How dare anyone suggest people should put up with not being able to do what they want no matter what!
According to the government... If I get vaccinated: 1.- Can I stop wearing the mask? Government Response - No 2.- Can they reopen restaurants, pubs, bars etc and everyone work normally? Government Response - No 3.- Will I be resistant to covid? Government Response - Maybe, but we don't know exactly, it probably won't stop you getting it 4.- At least I won't be contagious to others anymore? Government Response - No you can still pass it on, possibly, nobody knows. 5.- If we vaccinate all children, will school resume normally? Government Response - No 6.- If I am vaccinated, can I stop social distancing? Government Response - No 7.- If I am vaccinated, can I stop disinfecting my hands? Government Response - No 8.- If I vaccinate myself and my grandfather, can we hug each other? Government Response - No 9.- Will cinemas, theatres and stadiums be reopened thanks to vaccines? Government Response - No 10.- Will the vaccinated be able to gather? Government Response - No 11.- What is the real benefit of vaccination? Government Response - The virus won't kill you. 12.- Are you sure it won't kill me? Government Response - No 13.- If statistically the virus won't kill me anyway ... Why would I get vaccinated?" Government Response - To protect others. 14.- So if I get vaccinated, the others are 100% sure I'm not infecting them? Government Response - No So to summarise, the Covid19 vaccine... Does not give immunity. Does not eliminate the virus. Does not prevent death. Does not guarantee you won’t get it. Does not prevent you from getting it. Does not stop you passing it on Does not eliminate the need for travel bans. Does not eliminate the need for business closures. Does not eliminate the need for lockdowns. Does not eliminate the need for masking. So...what the hell is it actually doing?
And if it all goes tits up and you get a bad reaction or even die it is most unlikely that you will be able to sue the manufacturer. You may (or your dependants ) be entitled to some compensation from the government.
It's ultimately just another tool in the box to protect the individual to fight it off if you're exposed to it by giving you the necessary antibodies rather than having to rely on your immune system having to fight it and develop the antibodies from scratch which is the critical period.. Basically the more people people that have antibodies in their system already should bring down deaths. It's probably here to stay like all flu strains so will need adaptations as mutations and new strains develop. So, for sometime to come, it'll be social distancing, masks etc and regular vaccinations I would reckon. Crap, but thats the reality of it.
as soon as hospitals become emptier lockdown restrictions can be relaxed. the whole point of restrictions is to prevent a glut of people needing treatment relieving the pressure on hospitals saving unneccesary deaths?
Maybe because if you have the vaccination it will help prevent you becoming so ill you will not have to go into hospital or die if you are vulnerable or with underlying health conditions. But it won't stop you passing it on if you have it or are asymptomatic. Which means those restrictions are necessary until it is more under control.
Why wouldn't think that I? Or anyone else for that matter. If you didn't then I'm glad and I apologize for calling you a prat, on this occasion...
Well that's what ther've being telling us from day 1 unfortunately there seems to be a bigger proportion of headbangers in Sage than they are reasonable people, Sociopaths like Ferguson, Edmunds and the communist Michie not forgetting the likes of Tam and Whitty all of whom have already publically said we will have to carry on wearing masks, distancing and possibly more lockdowns and restrictions next winter and only a gradual easing for this coming summer when the virus will disappear anyway as it did last summer. At some point Boris will have to stand up to theese people and not back down otherwise where in ground hog day forever.
