You'd think that, but held Manc to a 1-0 last night, & looked useful, which is not good.

Guys.... take the 5/2 on Brighton to win. They are far better than us at the moment.

Do it now in case Kiko is announced in the team at today's presser. Odds will narrow if that is announced.

If Coco plays we'll probably lose, but I could never bet against Leeds.

Even if I won a grand I'd still feel like ****.

Having said that, I never bet on Leeds either. Emotional bets are a mug's game.

We HAVE to get something out of this game to purge the Crawley game. This could be the most important game this season from a momentum point of view.
I'll be very nervous if Meslier is missing.

It's a shame we're at home, their pitch is probably better than ours and we know they'll sit back and wait for us to make a mistake.

The game is live on Sky Sports. Hopefully the midweek game will take its toll on them. And Meslier will be playing. Yay!

I’m in between wanting Llorente and Cooper at CB so Ayling can go RB and Dallas can go LB as I think that’s the strongest team we can field but one part of me thinks Llorente should be on the bench because he’s been injured for so long that we don’t want him to be out straight away again and have Coops/Ayling at CB, Dallas at RB and Alioski at LB instead.

Going to start off by sticking my neck out and saying WITHOUT DOUBT we will win this game handsomely and by 4 clear goals. That twat Maupay will score though but hope its an OG.

I think anger and embarrassment will ensure Bielsa is never hammered again like he has this week. I also think Struijk is deffo DM and we will see (At some stage) Ayling at RB, Cooper, Llorente and Dallas in a very good defence

I also believe this game is season defining:

If we win we go go 4 wins clear of Brighton (12 points) with half the season over.

    Fulham
    WBA
    sheff Utd

All miles behind And I believe the relegation fught is between these 3 and BHA. I think it almost impossible for any of them to drag Leeds into it :emoticon-0148-yes:

I think Brighton are a bad match for us.

They play possession based football but not as direct as us. I kind of hope that they have more possession than us as I believe hitting them on the break is the key. This is where Phillips will be a huge miss with his interceptions. Its good that Cooper is back for that reason.

If we have more possession I fear they will be a bit more defence savvy than us and utilise the lack of Phillips to hit us on the break.

I personally see it a bit similar to Wolves in the second half and Crystal Palace games. Could be frustrating.

Hopefully we get the first goal.

Win or lose... 5/2 on Brighton looks generous.

Guess it depends on what you mean by ‘at the moment’ but far better is pushing it.

If you look at the league table based on expected points from performances Brighton would be 8th, Leeds 10th.

They have definitely performed better than their results as have a few other teams like the blunts, whereas Newcastle, Everton, Leicester and others have more points than their performances warrant.

Stats are just a guide, but the eye test backs it up and says Brighton are a good side who don’t take their chances. You always think Sod’s law dictates that they’re due a change in fortune and it will happen against us!

On the other hand, the psychology of team sports is such that teams get into unexplainable ruts and there’s another take that maybe they just lack the necessary quality in the key areas of the pitch, which is why they’re not taking their chances.

Chuck in key players missing for both sides and its coin toss game.

So old splinter arse here has covered all bases and can claim I accurately assessed the game whatever the result

Good points and that can usually be said about Leeds. Creating more chances than anyone but not converting them. So far even though Bamford has taken his expected XG and so has Rodrigo but others are not helping and we should/could be further away than we are, but we could fall into our old trap today and not convert anything?
