There is no doubt in my mind Ehab is as usual playing hard ball. However, we know and I would expect his agent should know, that Ehab will not change his stance. So, my feeling is that KLP should agree to just get it sorted out or put in a transfer request. He needs to play for his own development, and maybe he has to sacrifice something now and if he is good enough his time will come for the pay day. I am not saying the club is right and KLP is the bad boy here, I just feel it needs to be sorted one way or the other as it has gone on long enough. We saw what happen with Henriksen, "Ehab's not for turning", so feel KLP needs to sort this out for his own good.
Samuelsen is still injured and undergoing another scan today, which makes it unlikely that the player being sold is him. Batty looking increasingly likely.
In order to evaluate whether or not Allam is playing 'Hard ball',it would assist us all if we knew what the actual demands are? There doesn't appear to be any other rumblings around wages within the current playing squad so it's difficult to understand why KLP has been singled out for preferential treatment? The current recruitment drive seems to be going along reasonably well and the man 'who's not for turning' doesn't appear to be having any problem sanctioning deals, agreeing salaries and signing cheques...You've made absolutely no reference to the agent involved on behalf of KLP(in terms of his character)? Have we any idea whether he plays hard ball or does he just roll over and allow his belly to be tickled?
I don’t recall Bowen being kept on the bench to avoid a pay rise and be coerced into signing a new deal though. That’s the difference that is being discussed, and you seem eager to ignore for some reason.
Am I? All other contracts appear to have been signed no problem. he wouldn’t sign so they’ve done this. He’s had his head turned. It’s a tactic clubs use, not just ours. The club aren’t going to be had over. That’s fair enough. And it’s often applauded by fans. I think he’ll move on. And as I said with tymon I think it’s a bad move for him.
It’s all been downhill since he left here. He peaked too early in his career. Once you've had the big club experience nothing will ever match it. Coming here is like taking heroin. A magnificent high followed by years of disappointments as you repeatedly try, unsuccessfully, to recapture the original high.
I’d be very disappointed if there’s any truth in this. Given his recent performances he’s looked excellent. Which is why I think it’s bollocks.
From Matt's twitter. WTF!!! .... The Prison Lawyer on Twitter: "Blows my mind... https://t.co/bYarCJ7Gby" / Twitter
Martin Samuelsen could make a move back to Norway in the coming days, Hull Live understands. The Hull City playmaker hasn’t featured for the Tigers since the FA Cup defeat to Stevenage at the end of November, having been struggling with a calf injury. City head coach Grant McCann revealed after Tuesday’s win over Fleetwood that the club had received a bid for a midfield player which he felt needed to go out and play regular football, and it’s understood the 23-year-old is open to returning to his homeland, with Valarenga one of the clubs believed to be trying to sign the Norwegian international.
Doesn’t help that he seems to be permanently injured. No doubt he’s talented, just never fit to get a run in the side.
"McCann is keen to add more firepower in the final third of the pitch as he looks to clinch promotion back to the Premier League"
McCann confirms the vice chairman is willing to go to the expense of signing a replacement for KLP, if the contract dispute can't be resolved. Makes you wonder where that money would be best spent.
I've no idea who KLP agent is. What I think we do know is that in the past Ehab didn't play Henriksen for a long period of time because he wouldn't play ball. He appears to be playing a similar game now with KLP. This saga with KLP has gone on several weeks now and so far Ehab has not budged on accepting the shorter contract terms. Whether it is KLP himself or the agent that is advising him not to sign the shorter contract period I have no idea. IMO it is unlikely now Ehab will change his position, so this continues on indefinatley or someone has to give in. I am just saying that IMO it is better KLP is starting games rather than being kept on the bench.
