Dai waiting 5 years to expand the stadium is a ridiculous thing to say , that would cost us as a club at least £3m a year in lost revenue, which would almost pay for the expansion, you are no business man otherwise you'd know how businesses would operate. The cost of the work would financed by the swans themselves, the council would have a limited interest in this as we are upgrading the facilities without cost to them.

I am sure the directors of the club and Swansea City Council know exactly what they are doing, and it won't involve waiting 5 years before expansion is considered, if we are in the correct position come the New Year the first phase will go into place as soon as the season ends, with the footings for the stands going ahead before that.

bigger stadium, more events, free travel by public transport to ticket holders to games to alleviate parking problems

I agree with free travel to the stadium, but it would be better if parking was actually built close to the stadium, there is land there that could do that, though not sure who owns that. Also having the Landore train station as mooted when the stadium was planned would have a massive benefit

i live 30-45 min drive from suncorp, if i had free tpt i would be at the nearest station in 10 min drive and we also have a purpose built walkway from the train to the ground, also have a bus stop 200 metres away to take me to the stadium with one change

Nottage, I think we all know 1980 versus 2011 is the wrong comparison if the Swans want to build ambitiously .

Look at the Vetch vs Liberty , the Swans owners/directors then and now and the lower crowds throughout the first division then.

There is no future in the past

Musty all of the councils are broke not just Swansea , it's to with cutbacks in government funding, as our country is completely bankrupt, like the politicians and bankers who created this problem!

You're right there musty, Suncorp is a brilliant stadium with perfect entrance facilities. Scan your ticket as you go in, book online or queue in front of a box office instead of waiting to go into someone's living room! I love the Liberty but they can do some other simple things to make it fan friendly. Turnstiles really are a thing of the past.

I presume this is toungue in cheek to demonstrate your annoyance at taxes. As average wage in Wales is a bit lower than £104,000 per annum !!
If this is true ...bugger !! I thought I was on a very good wage at approx 50k a year....must try better then ..as I seem to be WELL below average!
