There have certainly been mistakes but the purposes of the rules are quite clear. People were fed up with the privations and restrictions of the Second World War but they got on with it. These are the sacrifices we have to make for the benefit of society. You can reasonably expect people to listen until its safe and its dealt with. Unfortunately, people don't want to listen and that is unreasonable.

 

Whatever I think makes no difference whatsoever, I can't 'jinx' things by doubting these promises.

 

Have a bit of faith, they have put their cock on the block with their "mid Feb" target.

All I'm saying is that we've had all kinds of world beating promises that have failed and made people sceptical.

That doesn't make me a bad person or lacking in faith.

We can't just automatically back a government that's made so many mistakes.

 

This isn’t the Second World War, and it shouldn’t be mentioned in the same breath.

Why aren’t the government strongly advising people to lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle? Which would increase their chances of survival 10 fold?

Instead they advise people to stay at home with only takeaway fast food restaurants and supermarket booze as their only outlet.

1 amount of daily exercise allowed with all kinds of confusing strings attached, is enough to put most off.

People will be priming themselves for this disease, all under the guidance of this government.

 

It perhaps didn't help early on when our PM was walking around without a mask, shaking hands with people on Covid wards without wearing gloves etc.

It was completely the wrong message to send out. Thats not excusing the current tranche of knackers, but perhaps those last summer who flouted the rules had some justification for not believing in how serious the situation was.

 

Seriously, will anyone defend those actions.

 

I have never suggested to back the government, what I am saying is we have to give them a chance to deliver the vaccine.

If (a big if) they deliver their promise we will all be over the moon, that doesn't mean we all suddenly forgive the mistakes

 

Had many a conversation with Smug. Sound bloke and we have passed information to each other, both ways. Certainly not a proven liar. Far from it.

 

Minister Zahawi is now saying that the target is to inform that many, not vaccinate that many, very clever party trick .

 

Idiots, why didn't that thick skunk Hancock just say we will try our hardest to achieve the target?

Donald was saved by KLD otherwise FPP would've taken the club, by default by the end of another failed season.

I'd never heard of KLD's interest and the only credible buyers, all year, were FPP.

KLD, himself, threatened to walk on Nov 27th if he couldn't buy a controlling interest.
