If it makes anyone feel better, Stoke did have a bunch of injuries when we faced them and some of them were long-term. They have just loaned in a couple of young players though, one of which is a right-winger. The other's a left-back, so I don't really see where Clarke's going to get time.
I will be surprised if Rose goes anywhere, he will no doubt stick around like a post curry skid mark, while collecting his 65K a week until his deal runs out. Unless of course there is a club out there willing to offer him something too good to turn down.

Really hope this one works out for him. Truly believe there’s a good player in there that’s just needing the right game time and development. Lilywhite Rose seem happy with it and are under the impression he’s been guaranteed game time and will play on the opposite flank to their other new loan signing, Rabbi Matondo, who joined from Schalke and was formerly of Man City.
Why do I get the feeling somebody whose career consists of Rob Newman or Frank Skinner carrying their dead weight is about to tweet something?
Fabrizio Romano says Lamela will leave in the summer Not sure which Patreon tier you need to be for transfer rumours...
A little too late but at least it’ll hopefully be another deadweight off the books sooner or later. Just about another 5 or 6 to go.
Yes, what could have been - if we had a quarter of the dodgy refereeing decisions he's benefitted from in that time period
Even still, he’s a hell of a player. Rarely injured and always fit too. Imagine a player that doesn’t get injured all the time (Lo Celso) or looks knackered after 60 mins (Ndombele)
I hate how this feels like a positive attribute nowadays for us when it should be an expectation . It’s tragic how we’ve ended up with players like Lamela, Lo Celso and Ndombele. We’re like Arsenal of that period where they had Diaby, Wilshire and Vermaelen all keeping the physios in work. Made worse though by us that our trio cost a combined circa £130m.
That’s a massive, massive reach. He still contributes more for this team than those three combined, more than just about most of our XI combined in fact.
