So Newcastle go to Sheffield United tonight. That's winless Sheffield United, with only 2 points from 17 games, don't even look like winning, and who are well on course to become the worst PL team ever. Steve Bruce: "Hold my beer"
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55615893 Don't really get this. If it's not safe to congregate in dressing rooms and celebrate goals together then it's not safe to play a contact sport. Either let them crack on, or do the right thing and suspend it.
Newcastle down to 10 men just before half-time .......will Sheffield get their first win.........0-0 ATM.
No real question in my mind that it's a penalty. The question for me was whether it might be more than just that. On balance, I think just a penalty is right.
Obviously it's a win at last - any win is a much needed win for them. But at the end of the day, they needed a handball in order to beat a 10 man Newcastle at home.
How have Newcastle got 19 points? They are bloody terrible. I have watched them 4-5 times this season, I could really see them going down!
This is really interesting. I'm absolutely certain it's a wrong decision to only give Brady a yellow. But the earlier tackle/foul by Shaw might save him from even giving away a FK, let alone a red.
Can they go back to give another free kick? Shocking decision to not give that tbh. That's a red on another day tbh.
