Some people aren't happy if they've got nowt to moan about. I'm like you I focus on the positives and that is we have a new owner
Excellent. So this is what quite a lot of us expected when the statement came out. Essentially JS and CM don't move at all and SD is just selling all but 15% of his shares to KLD.
Think SD deserves to make a small profit, after all he has made sure we are still running as a football club, albeit he has made many errors... He has to go down as the tightest man in football tho but after what’s happened over the last year, it was probably for the best.
I've heard the same mate, was messaging @Wackyjacky after the match and mentioned Donald keeping 15%. Sounds like it'll be accurate with KLD basically just buying shares from Donald and everyone else staying as they were. Be good to get it done and then we can look to start moving on with Donald and Methven kept well, well out of the way
Can't say if he deserves, and frankly don't care if Donald makes a profit or not. This isn't about him, it's about Sunderland. I'd rather SD got £100m and the takeover happened rather than he loses everything and it doesn't. The guy is a complete irrelevance to me and I expect to not hear his name in any sort of important way again until there's a minor press release in a few years saying he's sold his remaining shares.
I've had to keep these figures off here, which has killed me ... ... just pm'd them to a few lads so people can't call BS on them. Anyway, the Times disagrees so I might be wrong
I don't read it like that "the Times understands that the total valuation of the club in his purchase will be around £30m with an £11m loan to FPP repaid" Its merely giving the value of the club as £30m with the loan repaid. However I haven't seen all of the article and from that excerpt it can be read both ways
I wouldn't even expect it to take a few years. As soon as this goes through , Donald will be a complete irrelevance and KLD won't keep him around for long. I'm sure there'll be more pressing concerns initially, but he's finished here.
It depends who you want to believe mate. The EFL aren't at liberty to tell the media that the owner has passed the test, that will be a personal thing and up to the club. Well that's my thinking of it anyhow
Ah right, I was told they were saying 60%. I was also told EFL was completed last week and it was just an 'exchange of contracts' to do.
Yeah they’re saying 59% too mate so you could be right I hope it is done this week, was told I need to self isolate this week so that’d be the cheer up of all cheer ups haha
