Firstly, great matchday thread Chazz Secondly, who have thought 2 great clubs like ours, who were locking horns in the EPL only recently, would finish up in the 3rd tier of English football! It just goes to show what can result from badly-run clubs. Tough one to call this, I would probably take a point, but if they find the same form as stuffing Lincoln, then we could be for a rough ride. Let's hope George can inspire us to the win.ánd show this lot what they have lost.
Distinct lack of ambition wanting to stay at this **** show of a club. Etc etc Left-back Brandon Fleming is hoping to retain his place in Grant McCann’s team following Saturday’s 2-0 win over Charlton Athletic. The 21-year-old impressed on his return to the starting XI, keeping a clean sheet on his first league start since the 2-0 win over Gillingham on the opening day of the 2020/21 season. “It’s just one of those things,” said Fleming. “Callum (Elder) has been playing really well. We push each other every day in training and there is a really healthy competition for the position. “When I get my chance I just do my best to try and take it and that’s all I can do. When Callum plays the way he has been doing recently I can’t really go knocking on the gaffer’s door because he’s playing really well. “I just want to play as many games as I can. Hopefully I’ve done enough to keep my place for the next game. I just want to play well when I get the chance. I’m 21 now and it feels like I’ve been around the first team for quite a long time but not played as many games as I would have liked although I still have plenty of time to kick on.” Fleming recently committed to a new contract with the Tigers, keeping the academy product at the club until at least 2023. And the defender insisted that it was an easy decision to make as he looks to push for a starting spot at his hometown club. “It was a no-brainer,” he said. “I wanted to get the contract pushed over the line. It gives me some security and the base to go and play games, even if it comes on loan somewhere. I feel like I played well today so we’ll see what happens in the next few weeks and hopefully I’ll keep my place in the team because what I want to do is play for Hull City and that will always be my main aim.”
Sunderland are massive stinky ****s ... that’s just their dumb as **** not606 board. **** team, **** ****s. City 3 nowt.
Yes, I know the 'Jack Crawford / Nailing your colours to the mast story' is true. Jack Crawford lived from 22/03/1775 to 10/11/1831 and I happen to be married to his great, great, great, great grand daughter. I believe the battle was Camperdown (no doubt just a typo). It was recorded that he was the second person in Sunderland to die of Cholera and only minutes after his death his body turned 'perfectly black'. Nice!
He does all his repotoire, flicks, back heels and scissor kicks, then when he's confident enough he tries it with a ball. yes I know, reportoire is spelt wrong before any twat points it out.
DAZN - Sunderland vs City 2:45 For those ex-pats subscribing to DAZN, the games live tomorrow. At least in N.America.
His work rate is phenomenal. On a good day he gets all over the pitch winning the 2nd ball or at least tapping it to one of ours. If he is on it, the team plays well but if not he gives it away again leaving us exposed. Last season in the championship he just didnt have enough, this season he has improved and I think we rely on him more than any other player.
