The biggest problem with the BBC is some of its major reporters such as Laura Kuenssberg, Robert Peston, Andrew Marr, Nick Robinson, Hugh Pym, Fiona Bruce etc. These people all have a right-wing bias and Kuenssberg and Peston are so far up the Tory part arse that it reflects very badly on the whole of the BBC. Kuenssberg should have been sacked for some of her mindless reporting during the election. Fiona Bruce openly admitted that BBC Question Time had a right wing bias because it reflected the way the country voted, which is no excuse what so ever. I wouldn't say the BBC is overtly right or left wing but the government of the day does influence the way the BBC leans politically, so I don't feel it is entirely unbiased either. If they cleared out all of the above right-wing presenters and had more level headed and honest presenters such as Emily Maitlis then I would feel more able to trust what I read and hear from the BBC.
Well, Peston is ITV for a start... The BBC isn’t by any stretch perfect, (and unconscious bias is almost impossible for a sentient human to ignore), but the rollicking they get from both ‘sides’ is deeply unfair.
I don’t think there is necessarily a right wing agenda at the BBC, but they do engage in a lot of client journalism with the Government i.e they will softball the PM and Government ministers in order to maintain access.
This is exactly as I see it. Watching Kuensberg with Boris was like some disgusting date I happened to be gooseberrying. Watching her with Corbyn was like watching a terrier going at the leg of an elderly man.
I think there is an urge in all of us, including me, to oversimplify as explaining our views properly would takes ages. The BBC is a wonderful institution with a strong left wing, liberal bias. However, to me, its hard news elements are Tory biased. They treat the tory party with kid gloves and let them off for things I think are indefensible. They attacked the labour party on race in a way that I would have understood, if they had also taken the tory party to task to the same extreme for their terrible race records. The right get cross because they fail to challenge liberal statements which are clearly challengeable - such as a woman on the news saying "Britain's record on police brutality against black men is as bad as that in the US" and the news anchor just nodding away (while actually on BBC Radio 4 they actually challenged this assertion and dealt with it appropriately) - while the left will say they are right wing for the bias of their political pundits. So, yes, they are between a rock and a hard place. The BBC is actually the least of our worries when Rupert Murdoch exists...
It’s imperfect but better than the vast majority of public broadcasters. People on both sides feel it is against them because it’s news content is very unchallenging of those in charge, but the entertainment and drama programming is very socially liberal.

And (this is without google as I can't be bothered to google lol), isn't Robert Peston's wife/girlfriend (his ex wife died sadly of cancer a few years ago) one of the women that accused Boris of inappropriately touching her? Can't imagine he is a great fan of Boris if so....
