Just had the weekly newsletter. The number of kids attending school has multiplied by TEN at my primary school compared to Lockdown 1

By June we could have upto 20 million vaccinnated and the infection rate will be nowhere near what it is now. Wouldn't surprise me if they tried to limit attendance to residents of each host nation though.

Reckon we could hope for maybe 20/25% if vaccinations go well.

Maybe I’m just too pessimistic about this country not ****ing it up somehow but that sounds optimistic.

Even so, they’ll err on the side of caution.

You may well be right tbf but I didn't expect fans in December but they were, and it's nice to have a bit of hope about something. Been short of that the past 10 months.

Get the 13 million most vulnerable jabbed by end of feb.
Going on what we are told, that should cover at least 90% of those who become seriously ill. In theory, deaths should absolutely plummet by April. The weather turning will also help.
I fully expect us to be normalish by late May/June.

    Great news.
The wife had her 2nd jab yesterday. Feels a bit under the weather. Rang the helpline and they said all of her symptoms sound like side effects of the vaccine and should go within a couple of days.

Not sure about this; I don’t think that many people disregarded government directions at Christmas. Not many people at all travelled by rail.

There was mass furore from people in massive houses in the middle of nowhere that people in tiny shared flats in London would dare leave to legally travel to their families a few days before Christmas.

Indeed. If I remember rightly, around Easter time there was similar outrage from people in big houses with ****-off gardens, about selfish Londoners walking in parks.
