For season 2010-2011, there are 27 European teams who get bigger attendances than you on a weekly basis, ie Chelsea are 28th on the list (see wikipedia).

Tube strikes everytime Chelsea played in Europe!

Just to add, you are 28th on the European list of average attendances last year, you have NEVER won the Champions League, you are full of your own self acclaimed prestige, your players are such quality that you won feck all last year and you are in the top 4 clubs in Europe.

    So bitter.

    This whole thread is pointless.

Fact is Chelsea don't care about QPR, QPR probably don't or shouldn't care that much about Chelsea.

Let's just focus on the thread and try and keep it constructive.

Bringing my spot my cream to deal with al the tweens in R block.

Looking forward to getting a couple of digs when JT scores!

Just been offered a single in V block this morning.

    Back on topic: district, we
Can't beat the newbies and expense of football.

Richer people go to football these days. I paid £53 a ticket for schools upper on
Monday and simply can't afford to go home and away.

But there are people who will pay £70 odd quid a seat for west upper ... And Chelsea will prioritise them not us in any new stadium

That I feel is the biggest problem.

Whilst Richer people also go to football these days, IMO they also pay for Sky, Virgin media etc and also prefer the digital experience.

Being in the Concessions bracket I was fortunate in that I only had to pay £45 for a ticket. Not sure where I am sat yet as I am going back to London this evening.

I feel in order for this to work the club needs to cater for all types of Chelsea supporters, both old school and newbies. The fact is unlike Arsenal we cannot fill 60,000 with middle/upper class fans. 60,000 is achievable for us but only if we include all supporters. I like the scheme QPR have introduced where U-8's get in for free, if we could so similar we could bring the next generation through.

South of the river is predominantly Chelsea, but we also face a battle for support with Arsenal and obviously Man Utd so perhaps a new stadium could entice a few more away from the gloryhunting types.

Like yourself I can no longer afford to go home and away, particularly as I am not living in London at the moment. I pretty much handpick my games and allow my mate that I go with (he goes far more often than I do) to use my membership.

I would love to see a massive one tier Shed End that could hold about 10-15,000 just for the Old school fans and then have another MH stand as well, put the bourgeois in West and East Upper and then have families in East Lower and ST's in West Lower.

I don't care what anyone says for the big clubs and big derbies we could easily fill 60,000, it's the other games that are a concern IMO <ok>

It is key Buck and Gourlay get this right because IMO the next 18 months could be the biggest in terms of the future of this football club <ok>

Agree; I was hoping we could konck down the bates motel and Shed Upper and turn the stand into a one tier home end; upping capacity to 50k.

Apparently access is a problem but we used to have up to 17000 accessing the Shed in the 80s (and 20000+ in the 70s) by the East Stand and Bovril Gates; plus 11000 accessing the East Upper. Guess health and safety is stricter now.
