What are peoples views of him??

I ask because I think he is slowly replacing El Hadj Diouf as one of the most hated players.

I'll be honest I took a disliking to him after his antics in the world cup against Ghana, and before people say the hand ball was a natural reaction the celebration at the missed pen wasn't.
Now to the premier league, when he moved to Liverfool I thought right let's see how good a player he is. And yes he has skill and is technically gifted, BUT he has gained this amazing habit of throwing himself to the ground as soon as he get's inside the box and then complain if he doesn't get anything.

After watching the Everton v Liverpool he only provide himself to be even more of a cheat, the Rodwell challenge was robust to say the least but the way he divided then rolled about waving his hand like his foot had been removed pretty much made up the refs mind to send him off.
Then the penalty, yes he was clipped but again threw himself to the ground (A double salchow followed by a flip jump worthy of a 9.5) over emphasising it again. There was no need for it, unless he was trying to get the player sent off again.

I seem to remember him going down easy in the box against us when we played them at SJP.

To me the guy is a cheat and a beavered tooth Tosser with a punch me face.

If he cut the dramatics out of his game like Drogba did (and is a better player for it) I'd probably not want to punch as much and his game would improve. But he always seems to be on the floor or whinging and waving his arms like french man.

And before peole say Jonas goes down easy, maybe he does. But he doesn't wait until he's in the box and he doesn't pretend to be seriously maimed.

I just can't stand this prick.

    Rant over

What do you think of him?

I don't like that a player that is as truly talented as he is feels the need to cheat. he could be revered for his brand of footy. he's exciting and explosive and doesn't need to cheat. I think it might just be a south american trait that needs to be massaged out of him with few seasons in the PL. its the done thing over there but he'll quickly learn that he's making a fool of himself over here. I imagine even plenty of liverpools players are secretly cringing at some of the things he does.

personally i don't like players that cheat so blatantly when they clearly too good a player to need to resort to it.

I think he's a really, really good player but like you said he's a diving little cheat and I can only hope that he grows up and realises he's just making a fool of himself.
Ronaldo seems to have stopped diving (at least as much as I've seen?) so there's hope for anyone!
One point, he didn't play at SJP last year because he hadn't signed for them then <ok> but I'm sure he would have/will dive about when he comes to SJP!

A few seasons back Drogba was like that, going down very easily.
But know he has cut it out he is a much better player for it, the challenge with the keeper a couple of weeks back was a shocker but he wasn't scared to get stuck in.

As you say it may be a South American thing but it pisses me off to see him do it and is embarrasing.
Like the Rodwell incident all the emphasis was on the Ref and the challenge of Rodwell, nobody seemed to pick up on Suarez reaction and how he got up pretty quickly once the red card was shown.

The wrong people are being criticised in this incident.

While Suarez is undoubtable a great footballer, I can't stand watching the guy. If you watch the handball thingy on you tube, his arms are up before the guy heads the ball, he knew there was going to be a goal and he made a decision to save it. I couldn't understand how they allowed Uruguay to progress ahead of Ghana. The ref was an idiot he should have just whistled for a goal. Say it's over the line even if it wasn't, who cares. Goals have been given or disallowed regardless of being over the line. The ref should have pointed to the center circle and sent him off. Anyway... ever since he's been diving nad conning and coniving for free kicks penalties and bookings. Yes the penalty on saturday was a trip by jagielka but agian he went down clutching his calf like someone had crashed into him.

I don't wish for players to be injured, but if Suarez ever was to be seriously injured, I hope the ref and opposing team, along with his own will play on for a good 2 minutes while he lies there long enough to realise what a little unsporting creep he is, and how every knows.

We should boo him when he comes to our place. Much like Ronaldo got bood after the 06 world cup.

he's cheating little prick...good player, but gets away with far too much...he will probably leave liverpool for a bigger club at the end of the season....can see him wanting to leave, like Nasri, Modric etc

It was the away match at liverpool and surprise surprise Suarez won them a pen!!!
"There was a hint of fortune about Liverpool's 59th-minute second when Suarez isolated Williamson wide on the left from Jose Reina's kick and was sent tumbling by the defender right on the edge of the penalty area close to the byline."

He won me £165 during the world cup, first goalscorer against someone in a 2-1 win. But other than that I hate him!

As Travelsick says, I would'nt like to see a proffesional footballer get injured.

But he's not preoffesional with his cheating antics so would love to see Tiote destroy the ****.

He's going end up having his head turned my barca or real of something and then sulk in a tevez-esque fashion til he gets his own way. ruining liverpool in the process in all likelihood.

Talented player, complete cheating git. In the wrong sport, the one hes suited to has water and a high board, but dont fancy seeing him in a pair of budgie smugglers. Not even a good actor..
    Hate the guy

What annoys me more about Suarez is how mad and angry he gets when desicions don't go his way. You think a diving **** like that would try and not draw attention to himself with some of the stuff he does on the pitch.

He also bit Otman Bakkal while he was playing in Holland.

What a ****ing nut job, hate to have them gnashers bite me. surprised he didn't take the guys head off.

Like you say he dives about and then trips off on one when he doesn't get anything.
