They could both be right, as the second guy doesn't seem to be denying the claims that they don't deliver Sunday's etc, only that they meet targets.

It begs the question why when you contract covid seriously they then bring you into a hospital with loads of patients who don’t and the risk of spreading it increases. So why aren’t they using the nightingale hospitals and making some hospitals only covid
And as best they can to have some hospitals for ops and treatments for people like your wife? may be logistically difficult for some things but not all.
We have castle hill and hri but have covid patients in each

Or to put it another way, if having the disease gives immunity as now thought, add that 1.5 million to the 1 million odd vaccinated + Chazz who are now protected

And a plus of that is that those 1.5 million are effectively now vaccinated. Add in those with natural immunity, which apparently is not an insignificant number, and with the vaccine roll out, it should help the light at the end of the tunnel to come in to view.

Not many who have had the vaccine are yet protected & I believe once vaccinated you can still spread the virus.

presumably that means if you catch the virus after you've had the vaccine then you can only spread it until your own body offers immunity as would be the case if you'd had covid and then recovered - the vaccine i assume just prevents the severity

If you read the report, that doesn't contradict anything I, or either article says. They could both be right.

The story about people not being vaccinated on Sunday's is definitely rubbish, there's loads of people on Twitter confirming that they either got the jab on a Sunday, or are booked to have one on a Sunday.

The report is more about ordering and delivery. It's academic, as I'm sure the issues will now be addressed.

Of those 63.5 m, how many have been tested (symptomatic or asymptomatic) and are carrying the faster transmitting variant? How many of the 63.5m have had the vaccination?
It's a very big exposure which can be somewhat mitigated by tough measures.

Might help if the Telegraph published these 'leaked' documents.

The media of whatever hue, do not want to 'help' or even inform, they want to sensationalise and cause division.

It means once vaccinated you risk becoming a spreader & are not protected to the prescribed level until weeks after your 2nd dose.

There’s currently no data to suggest, either way, that you can still spread the virus once protected.

There’s not enough data available to confirm whether you can develop the virus again once vaccinated or how long the vaccination will be effective.

Many questions to be answered that will come in time but until then people should still be aware that their actions, or lack of them, could well be killing others.
