Things might pick up seeing he's gone, it looks like Fox was a Mag all along. No the wonder things got progressively worse the longer they were in charge.:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Did we ever get any more clues about if the FPP loan was paid back or kept on? Read a few times that it would be paid back which would make sense, but then seemed to go quiet on that.

The latest I heard was that it hasn't been paid back.

    That doesn't mean it won't.

It makes very little difference imo, except that FPP won't get the club by default.

I think he's just avoiding flak by prolonging the date.

There's no reason it should take that length of time ...

... they're not staking out his house <laugh>

"How long does the owners and directors test take?"

"The test is said to take anywhere up to four weeks to complete, although usually takes closer to a fortnight."

I would be surprised if Barnes would have any real idea of when the EFL would be able to give their approval. Unless the approval is due in the next few days even the EFL might not know exactly when the checks would be complete.

That would be pretty typical of the EFL to string things out until the transfer window closes.

Right but also means FPP would have had to have approved the takeover, so I'm seeing that as a positive, even if it just means they are confident they will get their money out at some point.

If FPP see the club is being well run, they might join forces with KLD and really take us to the next level in a few years time.

If... as SD said, FPP 'invested in him' (doubtful) its a no-brainer for FPP to 'invest' in KLD?

Sometimes we do play with a pair of tits up front who just fanny about and can’t be arsed and with players like them we nearly went bust. A waist of time

That's been my great hope. Experience from Europe AND a big American presence would be unreal. The rumours don't seem to be heading in that direction though. Plus I don't see how it could happen as it seems that KLD was prepared to meet Donalds price, but FPP seemingly wasn't. Not sure how you would square that one even as future investment when KLD is putting in more at higher risk upfront.
