The flu vaccine targets specific strains of the influenza virus. CoVid is a SARS virus. Both unrelated but with similar symptoms. If you have both you’ve been **** unlucky & I wish you well in your recovery.
thx Ben when i went for the flu jab she asked me a few questions and then went off to get another vaccine because she said i needed a different one. i should have asked why but i could see they wanted to be in and out as there was a queue. My missus has been told that the flu jab can help the body fight against some of the symptoms of covid. Right or wrong? To me they are exactly the same symptoms except im getting nose bleeds. and thats not through excessive blowing. There is so much unknown and most people dont even know they've got or had it? Whenever i get flu im always on my death bed anyway so this is nowt new.
Indirect flights could still. be a problem. https://booking.qatarairways.com/nsp/views/fareSelection.xhtml?selLang=en
Nose bleeds have been recognised as a symptom of Covid. If they persist & are prolonged you should seek medical advice / assistance. The flu vaccine will not attack the covid virus as it targets one of the influenza viruses. The covid (sars virus) is an unrelated virus.
A colleague returned from SA this weekend. He had 24 hours in Dubai for a little partying. Then purchased a separate single ticket into the UK. He had no issues, no questions in getting into the country
From speaking to a jab nurse they certainly weren't planning to cancel any that were already scheduled for second vaccines my Mum is in later this week (hopefully)
Apparently theres a stronger one in SA Making it 3 strains . Scientists where getting worried it might be a stronger one and the Vaccine may not be effective enough
i know you can find a link to back up almost anything on the net right or wrong but wife had heard it from a co worker who is obsessed and reads up on this thing 24/7 and i found this. https://www.diabetes.co.uk/news/202...und-to-offer-protection-against-covid-19.html and this from one of the worlds authorities the sun.... https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/12914202/winter-flu-jab-protect-against-coronavirus-experts/
my 89 year old mother still waiting for a first vaccination - seems to be a bit of a post code lottery
Why? He has a wife & 3 young children here, only natural he would want to get back home to them. Wouldn’t you do the same?
ive heard abou t cellls cos mine are all whacked i'd heard a few weeks into the first lockdown that it had mutated into a more stealthy or silent strain but put it down to chinese whispers
we'd heard the contrary and even a possible mix and match approach from the pfizer to the oxford. but again nothing definite just speculation.
My 89 year old mum and dad were both offered a jab on day 2 of the initial vaccination round before Christmas, but only if they could get themselves to the KC. They’re both housebound and certainly he can’t even travel in any of their offspring’s cars any more. So they had to turn it down and are waiting for a home visit ‘sometime after Christmas’. Watch this space I guess. In terms of postcode lotteries they’re Bev Rd HU6.
No, as I'm not a **** and I wouldn't risk giving my wife and children a new strain of a deadly virus (or anybody else's family for that matter).
