Average age of both benches is 7. And only that high because of Shane and Milner.

 

Not watching the Liverpool love in build up .....but have we been mentioned yet barring the usual 9-0 yawn.

 

Pleased to see Diallo get a run out tonight, but shame about Romeu. Not expecting too much given its Liverpool who can cope with our high press, will burn us if we play with a high line, the weakened lineup and bench. Just hope we turn in good performance.

 

Shane Long on babysitting duty tonight then...

 

Hope he doesn’t have too many nappies to change!

I'm glad i screwed up the dishwasher game after seeing that team.

I won't rush to finish work to be fair tonight.

 

For the first time in a long time I think we will get battered tonight. Missing our 3 best defensive players this season, Adams is out and our bench should be closed along with other primary schools!

 

I'm confident. Liverpool won't have prepared for that team, so will be bamboozled by our nimble footwork and forward thinking play.

 

He may need to change my pants when Pool get near our goal.

Hopefully Pool will be conserving energy so go 2 up then just play out the game

 

I had zero expectations tonight, so seeing our team sheet doesn't really change that.

It's annoying that with Liverpool's CB issues, we find ourselves miles from full strength. But hey ho. Our season won't be defined by our matches vs Liverpool.

 

I may watch Boris at 8 rather than us.

 

That bench though. Yikes. Worst bench we’ve ever had? I said that for a recent match and it's even managed to get worse since then! We're not even really missing that many players. We just have **** all depth.

 

Big day for some of the padawans on the bench!

Hope we can make a game of it. Defend our box with discipline and organisation. Don’t let Thiago have the ball, not even for a throw in. Make Hendo wish he never agreed to playing at the back.

Also, having 4 of our best players out makes the bragging rights over our glory supporting mates even sweeter after we absolutely school them.

 

You may need a sense of humour in either instance

 

Hey, it’s a bit if a free hit tonight. But there’s potential positives here (I think we’ll get beaten, but...you never know) -

They have no CB playing.
Henderson and Fabinho vs Theo’s pace. We win there.
We might not need the physical presence in midfield against Thiago and Wijnaldum. It’s battle of the midgets in midfield this time around.
Their average height is 4’7 today. We should be a threat at set pieces.

Yes, it’s unlikely. But it really could be there for us, with a lump of luck in there.

 

Their midfield will be rusty too. Shame about their forwards.

 

I hope our team haven’t given up too!
