Hmmm, to be honest mate, I didn't really see that we did a lot wrong in what is only a few minutes.

Did you see their goal, let me answer for you YES.
Did you see our defense, let me answer for you NO.

I said in so many words that, I didn't see a lot wrong, the goal was the obvious exception, but I thought that would need no explaining. So let me answer the question, did I see our defense, YES.

However, one goal against does not make a whole performance wrong, however, I didn't see the game, so respect what everyone else has said. I personally think, Steve Evans has become one dimensional but we see that all the time in managers these days, and of course the natural element in having limited resources.

I still feel however, some players could be played in better positions, and others need to dropping when possible. Our defense is all wrong, we've got two strikers Oliver and Samuels who are not my favoured type of strikers. Graham is putting Championship quality crosses into the box, but we have league two style strikers, but we aint competing in L2.

Like @The Gills PegLeg once said, don't believe everything brb says, what he forgot to say, was believe the majority of it. <whistle>

I should also ask did you see our strikers, or even better, have we got any strikers.
our last 2 games have been against teams who have among the worst defensive records in the league.
Last question, how many goals have we scored against 2 of the worst defenses in our league.

I think you already know what I think of our strikers, do you really want punishment of chapter and verse, I'm quite good at writing war and peace. <whistle>

Martin Allen's potential flaw when he won us L2, was that he had built team that would thump and batter our way out of that league. The problem is that don't work in L1, where you need more flair, is that the right sort of flare....lol...anyway, Graham has what we need, so does O'gilvie potentially, wasted at CB. Just an opinion. Obviously I'd also include Dempsey in that and Jack Tucker, because we all know he loves opportunity to throw caution to the wind and get forward sometimes. After that, who we got left. I remember going to a Greek Island once, they had donkey rides. I wouldn't let my kids on them, although they were available to ride, it didn't make it right to ride them. I actually wanted to pay the owner for the day, with a promise not to use them. Do I really need to continue with this story...

Defensively we didn't look overly strong but that was compounded by how our midfield allowed Plymouth through time and time again. Ironically that's a flaw Evans publicly identified in Steve Lovell's team was that he felt he could play through Lovell's midfield. It very much felt the youngsters he chose to cover the defence yesterday also allowed them straight through. Robertson especially for me didn't do enough defensive cover for a midfielder. Alex MacDonald sured it up somewhat but when you're chasing a game I would argue he perhaps isn't the type of midfielder you want to bring on either.

I must say at the outset that I despise Steve Evans and think he is the most odious git going. However, the tactics employed against us yesterday were exactly the ones that were needed if you had seen anything of Plymouth this season. Our defence is terrible and in most games have just stood there and watched as the opposition have knocked one in. The worst situation for us has been crosses into the box and it was obvious that somebody had done their homework because there were a fair few. Your man Graham bossed his bit of ground all day and we could have done with him disappearing. However he was pretty much the only one playing really well. The substitutes made were also the right ones. Akinde is a big unit and they normally score against us because we can't defend in the air. If the Green Army were being honest they would confirm they were sat on the edge of their seats in the second half just waiting for the inevitable. It never came because of poor finishing rather than chances made.

If you listen to Evans we were battered black and blue for most of the game. Well given the attempts and possession percentages that clearly is total bolloxs. The difference between the sides was we have a striker on fire in Jephcot and if you wanted the ball to fall to anyone in the box it's him. He obliged of course as the record books show. Did you get spanked well NO you didn't. Would a draw have been fair well possibly but we have lost by an odd goal many times when it's been even. The thing that gets me most though is your Manager and his runaway mouth. He shows no respect for anyone or anything. The outcome was a travesty, ok he is bound to be biased so I might give him that one. The Ref was rubbish. Actually he was ok for both sides and I didn't see any outrageous errors all afternoon. The changing rooms were a disgrace. Well now he is grasping at straws for an excuse. He sdly lets any club down wherever he works and why and how he still gets a job is beyond me.

Indeed he certainly is a divisive figure and many posters on here were against his appointment, myself included. I agree with you that we were good for majority of the second half but also agree we didn't do enough to win the game. Although the stats suggest we had more shots, the only time I can remember your keeper Cooper being worked was for a cross come shot in the first half. The rest of the time he merely had to pluck balls out of the sky or from shots straight at home so certainly no complaints from me about us not winning.

The football you played in the first half from your goal was very good and our young midfield certainly didn't have an answer. I think if your boss can work out a Plan B for when opposition learn to change shape, you guys will be fine. Best of luck for the rest of the season <ok>.

There were definitely two chances there that Stevie Wonder would have scored from.........

    What a dickhead!
he thinks keeping a clean sheet would have made a difference.
If the players don't know goals win games, we are doomed.
