Edit: Will check that Biltong direct site after I get my little un to bed. I think these are the droids I'm looking for
Might be talking out my arse but I thought the bike was around £1700 - £1800 and the monthly subscription was £35+
Nah not paying £35 a month for a spinning class like, **** that. I’ll just run to the coop twice a day instead.
Does your countryside and beach have a bench and a couple of hundred of kilos in plates? I don’t do any cardio in the gym
You just need to use your imagination mate, help old ladies with their shopping and ask the local scrap merchant if you can help him pile tyres.
You guys must have managed some partying this Xmas. I did zero bar X day and NYE so gained no weight. Walking the dog and bike rides with daughter everyday so kept fitness up and managed to fit in a run every other day over Xmas. Will be back to alternating running and yoga in Jan with one rest day a week.
Weights would probs be the only thing I'd use the Gym for tbh. I do a fair bit of lugging about for my business. Not Comm uber Banana style though.
This is exactly why I need to go to a gym. Bench press, squats, dead lifts, more or less. (and variations of) **** I can't do at home.
Ive turned one of my spare rooms into a home gym. Got a cage in there so can do squats, bench, pull ups and deads in there. Only problem is I don’t have enough weight really, will sort that out when the gyms get closed. I also have a treadmill which is a great clothes dryer
£2k will buy you a decent MTB to be fair. The idea of buying a bike that you just sit on in front the the TV watching Corrie is about as appealing as Aids.
road/mountain bike and a direct drive turbo trainer is the best mix. Summer you are out on roads/hills. Winter in the garage on something like Zwift. set up at minute doing 75-100 miles a week. Plenty of workouts that need you to self motivate, helped me keep fit since lockdown started in March last year.
Im lucky that I live just on edge of peaks so try to get out on MTB during winter, but prefer it for summer on road bike. Have the MTB for rides with family, just can’t seem to get into it as much as road riding. Few lads at work love MTB so once it warms up a bit I will try to do some more, just don’t fancy a trip to A&E!
