They were the same with Hume mate.
One week he has a good game he's world class and wondering when SD will try selling him, the next week we get beat and Hume has over hit a couple of crosses so he's the worst player to ever wear a red and white shirt.
In reality he's a young lad progressing through the ranks into the first team and actually has a promising future but is far from the finished article.
    They really are ****ing unbelievable

One thing Diamond has got is confidence, how many of our first team have that, 3 or 4? I like what I've seen from him in terms of ability but his positive attitude is a good foundation and you can't teach it.

years of reading forums has brought me to the conclusion that a lot of fans have no idea how to 'view' a footballer, for instance, bally got slated over there a long time ago until people began to point out what he actually brought to the team...in more recent times M'ville got labelled with the '****e' monicker yet many missed his excellent positional sense that stopped a hell of a lot of passes behind the defence and runs into the box...a player does not have to have the ball at his feet to be 'useful' and many will not see what is in front of them.

yep, the young lads we have in the team right now are making mistakes, this was pretty much expected by most of us...at the same time, however, they provide a 'no fear' type of play by being direct that gets us up the pitch and defences on the back foot, diamond has been quite well marked recently and the team are not relying on him as much which can only be a good thing, yes they will have dire games as any player does but '****e?' never.

Yep. According to a vocal minority Jordan Henderson was ****e. On another note I couldn’t see why Emile Heskey got so many games for England or Liverpool, but those more knowledgeable than me saw things that I didn’t.
Not saying that fans aren’t but I see exactly what you’re saying.

It’s some of our fans banded into that nutshell really! Nobody will get a chance with them. Hume is ****, Diamond is ****, insert name if player is **** (after a 4 minute sub appearance!!)

As per the OP, It boils my piss the way the so called fans go on

I can understand it's annoying to some who've no interest in that forum and have always posted on here. But a lot of posters are coming on here either voluntarily or because they're banned.
They can't post these kind of comments there, because they'll be banned or shouted down by just the kind of people the OP is talking about.

There are few RTG threads, to be fair, and they're easily ignored. There will be a transitional period but the Mods here will no doubt monitor it. I've always posted on both forums but RTG became impossible due to the amount of bitter 'anti-Sunderland' supporters. The desperation for the takeover not to happen was weird and the insistence that it was nothing but a share shuffle quite disturbing.

It's amazing, and creditable, that this forum was almost entirely positive and pro-Sunderland ...

... with a few obvious exceptions who have now mysteriously vanished as they always do, hopefully permanently.

This is all too typical of people who live to moan and love to spread their gloom ...

    ... https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/falling-out-of-love-with-safc.1538251/

Why start a thread to say this, just f**k off and stop bothering people.

It's the whole reason I moved across here.
I came across originally when prehab26 did basically to keep up with his snippets.
Then when I did I realised there are a lot of informative people over here but also you can have really good conversations with people who have a different point of view, that although the may not agree the do listen to what you have to say without the need to verbally abuse you

To be fair, there are some great posters on RTG. People who can have a debate without calling you an idiot etc.

It’s stinking at the minute after yesterday like.

I couldn't agree more mate, seems to be the ones who actually go and are known to other people.

It's hard going for them when the pro-pessimists are so prevalent.

It’s been carnage recently, negativity wise.

I’ve been on there about 10 years but it’s at a point now where I’m thinking what’s the point?

They remind me of a girlfriend I once had who was truly gorgeous and a staff nurse at Mansfield hospital.

I met her when I went in after being stabbed and she helped to 'stitch me up' ...

    ... in a good way <laugh>

She'd been in a highly abusive relationship, but I openly adored her which I thought she'd appreciate ...

... she couldn't handle the affection, left me and went into a relationship with a bloke who'd beat her up.

Dunno what that condition is called but I think RTG has a few sufferers.

It is a great forum with a lot of really good posters, but sadly there are also a lot of WUMs who are seemingly allowed to go unchecked. A week or so ago, after a good drink, I had an uncharacteristic foul mouthed rant about Mary Hinge on there (expected a ban but they just deleted the posts which was canny). But it's posters like that. A daft, totally put on "zany" intent persona that he's used for years. It isn't original, it isn't funny, his posts are idiotic. I don't know why posters like that aren't just banned. They offer absolutely nowt to the place. It puts you off discussing things when there's always some dickhead there to interject. If it was at a pub you'd move on if some knob kept on making inane, unwanted comments.

The negativity I can kind of understand. Some can maintain a positive mindset no matter what is thrown at them, for others it gets them down. Again though, you get some who never see the good and just permanently want to be miserable. It's like the Diamond thing that Smug mentioned . In many cases the same people saying he's not all that good will be the same ones who moaned that no kids were getting a chance. Young lads are going to be inconsistent , and they're unlikely to come in and immediately be the best player in the team. Some do, but they're the few and far between really **** hot prospects. A lad like Diamond at least offers something we lack, we need to be patient with him. Mind if he does well and gets sold they'll moan about that as well.

I think it's Stockholm syndrome where the victim becomes dependant or affectionate to the captor.
Really strange this you would have thought a young lady in a responsible position would have worked it out.

That was the most concerning aspect mate, she'd work on A&E comforting other victims then go home to a controlling nutter.
(I'm not talking about me now btw.)

So true it made me laugh ... sadly.

The most flak I take is for looking on the bright side, some of it is really vicious to the point where I used to get pms threatening me.

IMO if you're not continually hoping for the best there's something wrong ...

... I even want Graham to come good and get a tattoo to go with my Gareth Hall one <laugh>
