I do not hate him. By all accounts he is a nice guy.
But I do think he is a crap footballer in a Hull City shirt.

Accrington game comes first. But it’s a good question.

We had a bit of the toughness about us today. Too often we reveal our soft underbelly, but it didn't happen this afternoon. That will get us more wins in this league.

Chaz is right about tom eves. His play with back to goal was superb today, but he doesnt believe in front of goal. He needs the arrogance of a top striker. I'm one of those who slags him off, but he shouldn't be making mistakes and learning his trade in our first team when a more confident and more capable young fella from hull is been held back

We need a CF loan coming in and tom going out on loan. Fresh start for him.
    Send slater back.

I would offer Jackson Irvine a 6 month contract.

The way Tom Eaves plays suggests to me he might be better off playing as a number 10, rather than as an out and out striker. He could still chip in goals here and there, but his main strength is bringing others into play.

I wouldn't if it meant playing him ahead of any of the current 3 midfield players. Might be a useful sub

    Exactly what he would be
We’ve seen how much we need honeyman and he will not be able to play every game. Irvine can do that job. Slater can’t.

I got the same for geography at Cooper, prompting my only real bit of backchat at parents’ evening when Mr Mitchell said ‘Just imagine what you could achieve if you put even a little bit of effort in’ and me asking him what more exactly I could achieve when I’d got the highest possible mark already without bothering. He never did answer me...

Never get this argument. Adkins had a miles bigger budget, a much better squad and still only got us to 14th. I like Adkins a lot as a gaffer and he did a very solid job, but this point that he did really well and Grant massively underperformed is wrong. Most the City fans said for years we were heading down, we were heading that way and I felt as though Adkins/Grant would both have seen us relegated last year. One thing I will say is that Grant's recruitment has been far better for the football club's future than Nigel's, who's was pretty poor on the whole.

Just seen this to add to the debate on
the ****ness or lack of ****ness of one
Tom Eaves. I’ll let the mathematicians
work out the +s and -s, I have trouble
    remembering my ****ing age.

We shouldn't underestimate the significance of that win, I really thought we would get done, but credit to all for a dogged well-drilled performance.

Even with 11v11, I thought we controlled the game well, however, the sending off did make life much easier.

Greaves or Fleming was my pick for MOTM, but the whole backline played well.

Eaves should have put one of those 2 chances away, I personally felt he could more to press their backline when they had the ball, but other than that did okay.

Honeyman has been a big miss, and it was clear to see he is pivotal to us succeeding. Him, Docherty & Smallwood do look a good combination in midfield.

Wilk's is a good player, strong, holds the ball up well and drives forward with purpose, if he could just not be so greedy and start to set others up he would become a better all-round player.

All in all a much-needed win and 3 points, let's hope we can start to put a winning run together.
