all firmino did was move one way and they opened up. one ball, good touch and mane had the ball in the net.

we gave managed to make Newcastle, westbrom, Fulham and Brighton look good and they really really are absolute rubbish.

10 points absolutely thrown away against sides who cannot defend worth a damn.

 

Let’s hope we don’t bitterly regret these squandered points. No excuses as these teams are really not good.

we scored a total of 3 over those games and conceded 3. they have conceded 111 other goals collectively this season.

we led in 3 of the games and failed to kill them off. slack, lazy, soft.

missed 8 easy chances v Newcastle on top of all of that.

 

Tbf that is really telling. We have been a tad inconsistent this season. Weirdly against the fodder. Let’s hope we can put a run together and pull away from the others.

 

It s the sides with little ambition. Fulham absolutely killed us for 30mins. Killed us just by pressing as we have dungplaying at the back who won't do much par shuffle it 5 yards to one side or other and no midfielder wants to sit in and take it and make play. They then sat back I to their shell and let us off the hook.

West brom sat in 640. What was it fat Sam that saw? A useless team who could e pushed up on just a bit and at 0-1 we was willing to give it a go. We folded. We panicked after one run that Alison save and folded.

V Newcastle they could beat-up press so easily. They were wide open to be carved up but could easily pass it out and bypass us.

Spurs were falling apart and we started dicking with it in the one game we did well in. They sat off and let us have it then scored on the counter. We tried our best that night but spurs were comfortable. Imagine what could have happened if mourinho decided to press hard on our defenders???

We have not the energe nor the drive. Be that fitness or hunger. No side has the same levels but we can't see that scoring 2 is a must and taking the chances vital it seems.

 

That’s the mysterious bit. If it was us missing VVD and other defenders causing weakness in our defence then we would be more vulnerable to good attacking teams and conceding more goals. But we are dropping points against teams with worse than average attacks and we are not conceding more. We are scoring less yet our attack has hardly been affected.
