Show me where I said you did? I was merely pointing out the hypocrisy over the standards being applied to who 'haters' can or cannot hate.
God help us if a man can't keep a team playing at the same level having spent millions, signed 63 players, with the increased owner loyalty, stadia, training, medical, coaching staff and facilities he had something is wrong somewhere, the man had it easy.
Great and I have acknowledged that time after time, but not enough to keep his job or getting an OBE in the New Years honours list. Most of the fanbase have moved on even though for at least the 5th or 6th time in the last 10 appointments have not been universally accepted, that is not the fault of the fanbase LJ lovers or LJ haters, it's the owners + the man who wields most power in the decision making Mark Ashton.
Under the current set up you are never going to get a top notch coach-manager. I will tell you the reason why Mark Ashton. He wants to be top dog and top managers ain’t going to bow to him. SL has cocked up with previous managers and passed it over to MA-but top managers will not work under him. Hence the ridiculous time it took to employ LJs assistant to the top job. MA is going to hold Bristol City back.
You are absolutely right sadly as I have said multiple times, Ashton is in place wielding so much power mainly because of 2 managers in particular whose achievements made them believe they were irreplaceable.
[Have you not noticed the hatred from RP? Onefor you missed out Wiz who hated Lj with a vengeance while he was here, and still does when he's not.
poor old LJ the argument just drones on and on and when you screen out the wheat from the chaff it is a bit flat ….. Finally finished my bottle of 5 KINGS .. WAS BOUGHT IN 2000 ! had 1 tot then [ a double ]. Drunk about half , started NEW YEAR EVE / day really @ 0007 hrs after the fireworks... the rest today [probably sleep till 10pm after dinner ] ...neat, and makes you cough, heats up the tip of the tongue! lovely shaped bottle but xyl is chucking it out ….. visibilty here now about 30m thick fog!
Pulis was a Gashead for gods sake, in football terms he’s meant to be hated by us... whereas, LJ was one of our own, and was turned on by some on here immediately. That’s the bit I have never understood?
I think you have just summed up very neatly there why you don’t think why we have progressed in the last 4 years. I don’t think you understand at all what modern football involves, these are tools used by all the top clubs! I think too many on here are stuck in the 1950’s way of how football was played, and think it still should be....
Very true, ask any Watford fan what they think of him from his time there? I think neither LJ, nor DH despite them both protesting otherwise have full say on who comes and goes, and I’ve always felt that.
Exactly, as I wrote I disliked Pulis intensly (I didn't hate him) and admitted he had qualities, LJ I thought was anonymous as a player, achieved nothing as a head coach, I don't really care anymore, he is sod all to do with us, I have no intention of stirring you up, those are just my thoughts.
You're at it again, I loved the players and football of my youth but I understand modern football, your opinion of me is not a problem, I developed through, Matt Busby, Bill Shankly, Brian Clough, Bobby Robson, Kenny Dalglish, Alex Ferguson, Pet Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino, all great managers, leaders of men, modern coaches and methods, great achievers, I admire them all, developers and up holders of the modern game. Then you have Lee Johnson and space invaders, no thankyou.
Drones and large flat screens generally are not used to improve the skill (technical) level of adult players. I used the word generally. Videoing a player can lead to improvement e.g. improving a glitch in technique - here is what is going wrong structurally when you strike the ball. The norm is these tools are educational.
To be fair it works the other way around too - those of us like me who have stuck up for LJ on occasion get branded as ‘deluded’ ‘happy clappy’ ‘Lovers’ etc, when all many of us are simply pointing out where some unfair criticism has been aimed at the bloke because people don’t like the fact he played for us under his dad.
The reason why LJ comes up again and again is when the excuses (windups) by the likes of RP & Co for the poor results and performances under the current coach. The miracles achieved so far with the current squad The lack of backing by SL the injuries Covid The crocks brought in maybe the weather or lets try the distraction of Brexit...I'm sure there are more................ Excuses were frowned upon under the LJ reign on here...hey ho .......double standards
