1-0 Liverpool. They will win comfortably and won’t need to get out of second gear. We will get plaudits for playing the ball around at the back and giving a good performance without having any shots other than JWP set pieces.
This is 2020 Saints. Everyone needs to be at the top of their game to beat us. I'm not saying Liverpool won't win but it will be one of their toughest games of the season.
Me thinks, despite his upbeat post match comments, one or two will be taken aside and have a quiet but clear conversation about using their talent in a way that makes a real difference to the team and demonstrates the reason they are here. This is not an easy match for Liverpool and I'll stick my neck out for once, we'll nick this!
Just to cross threads for a change, do away teams need to travel to matches on match days, and travel home after matches, or does professional football count as work, so exceptions are made?
I believe that some teams travel the day before and use hotels. That's how Man City believe they got their Coronavirus cases.
There is a rumour going round they got it due to player stupidity. Only a rumour, so no names or I’ll be as bad as the **** stirrers, if indeed they are just rumours. We’ll know if anything breaks.
We stand a good change of winning this. They'll go out on the pitch to win; those are the teams we can beat. Vin
Yes, this thread has been blessed by the presence of Vin... I think we have a chance of a result as Liverpool are not in the best of form and we have to start scoring again sometime. If we can keep pinging those long diagonals we might just find a way in behind them.
We might have a shout, we traditionally play better against more open sides and Liverpool's away record isn’t fantastic. We could equally get torn a new one mind, very hard to predict.
