that reminds me, ive just done egg mayo, fried onions and cripsy bacon, for some wraps, as a late night snack.
Made some Soda bread. Had it with lashing of butter and Jam. Piss easy to make. I use half white and wholemeal flour. Buttermilk I make using milk and lemon juice to make it curdle (heat it up in the microwave to speed it up) bicarbonate of soda and a dash of salt. Save a bit of buttermilk to glaze the top before it goes in the oven and top it off with porridge oats.
I reckon Piskie makes a mean Sauerkraut, infuses it with stuff he’s growing in his garden. That’s where his strengths are, none of this fluffy egg malarkey.
I love Sauerkraut. Get it from a mate on the markets who makes her own. She also makes Kimchi but that gives me evil farts. Good stuff Sauerkraut, fermented foods are probiotic and good for gut health (you already know this) Folk like @Libby would benefit from this stuff to help clear out his massive stuck turds.
Yeah I've made some before, but I poured off too much of the water and it went a bit dry. Been doing swaps at market for my products for Sauerkraut (along with cheese, chili sauces, charcuterie, rum cake) So haven't gone back to making any, but might give some a go again.
