Good response from Bruce I suppose, but I fear it's just a case of "how, lads - y'kna that stuff ye's did for Rafa? Dee that again th'neet."

5-4-1 was obviously a reversion to Rafa's style. But it seems that's all this side is capable of. They look comfortable with 3 at the back, particularly with Schar right and Clark left. I'm happy with it, to a point - I think we should be going 5-3-2 instead, plugging some gaps in midfield and bridging gaps. I'd like to see Murphy RWB (or Manq, where is he?) and either Almiron or Lewis on the left. I'd then have Hayden, Longstaff and Longstaff/Almiron in the middle and Wilson with Joelinton up top.

I think 5-3-2 is a better idea than 5-4-1. We were a bit weird tonight, because we played 5 across the back yet Robertson/Arnold had acres of space, but just weren't found very often.

I feel like we miss 3 midfielders. For me, if you're weak in an area, fill it with another body. Midfield and CB need that help, they can't play in pairs and Bruce really, desperately, needs to work that out fast.

That’s the point (sorry about the pun) if we perform like that then Bruce won’t get criticism but we haven’t been performing like that and the criticism has been merited but Brucie and his media friends will ignore that.
