Now, now, Boothferry thats not the way to treat FC. as has already been posted, they do like to maintain the illusion of being Hulls No.1 team. Joking apart for a city of this size it is good to have such successful sports teams
They must be amazing at magic then! That illusion they do where they make there 20k plus crowd look like a load of empty seats is immense!!
i shall concede to your bigger knowlage of it as i am not an officiando. no wander i never know whats going on with it if its now a code of super instyead of a code of rugby. i seem to rememer them ranaming all the teams after aminals and hulfc went from being birds to being sharks. thats evolution for you.
I have NEVER been to either the Bullyvard or Craven Park (old or new) to watch a game of rugby. I have however parked in Leo's/Pioneer/Morrisons Car Park and have visited the Car Boot thievery place they call their new ground. I once played Pool in a hovel of a building off Airlie Street called the Hull FC suppoerters club. One of only 8 City Independent left who went to Boothferry Park on the 3rd May 1980.
Hey x didn't mean it to come over supercilious only meant it's they way they have marketed it, a bit like we are in the N-Power Championship (not the old League Division 2) if that makes sense!!!
Yeah, I support Hull City : Football. Hull FC : Rugby League (but if Rovers are playing anyone else (especially Leeds) I wish them well. Yorkshire Cricket Hull RUFC : Rugby Union And I don't apologise for any of it. I also support England in any sport they are playing, Even Scots and Welshmen when they represent Great Britain and The Irish if they are playing the Continentals or The Southern Hemisphere. I even support Europe v the USA in golf (even though golf bores the **** out of me!). So bolleaux to anyone who says I can't enjoy more than one sport. Oh and I'm married but still look at other women, I drive an Aston Martin but still enjoy the occassional spin in a Maserati (actually thats a lie). So those of you who slag of other fans and other sports, have you given up looking at other things of beauty? You can still have a favourite but appreciate other pleasures. Or I can, even if you can't.
there wasnt in the most hyped up game in the city for 30 years, still makes me smile anytime anybody talks about rugby- funny how my rugby mates have never brought up the rugby/footbal city argument since..
I used to go to the KC quite a bit when it first opened, I did enjoy it but found myself going less and less. I went to the game vs Castleford last season, first game in about 2 years, I walked out at half time as I was that bored. I just don't have the passion for it. It's the mighty tigers all the way, I would never dream of leaving half way through one of city's games.
Tyger Tyger so much hatred and malice in one person does not become you!! If others can't like other sports then it's their loss not ours. Chill and calm down by going to the Friday music thread. LOL
hey no prob sagegee i did'nt take it that way. i dont mind people likeing whatever they like even if it does puzzle me sometimes! i'd fogetten about the NPower thing and keep writing ccc instead (though coca cola is more in my daily experience). its still division 2 where i am.
x while we are at it what the f*** is going on with people??? there seems to be 5 golden ones of you against this thread! what is it i have started/done right???
