A point of information (it affects me and may affect some of you)....when overseas travel becomes likely. For a short time the UK government issued passports that were for longer than 10 years....can't remember why now. These passports will only be valid in the EU for the first ten years and not the extra months tagged on. For instance, my passport was issued in September 2011 and will expire in September 2021....despite the quoted expiry date of February 2022. Worth checking if you are in the smallish group that applies to....don't want to get a shock at the airport.
