I think from what I have heard, they were driving out of the mall car park and heard shooting so drove off quickly. About 3-5 mins later when they were safely away, the aunt (who was driving ) turned round and saw the girl was shot. She drove her straight to the hospital as it was nearby, rather than wait for an ambulance.

 

Crossfire? Or at least just in The way .

 

Yep just crossfire. Wrong place wrong time. My daughter and grandkids were there a few hours earlier and used the same car park (from memory it has 3 separate sides)

Hopefully one day soon an American President will act upon the fact that although the Second Amendment gives the right to keep and bear arms, it most certainly does not give the right to keep bullets.

Go onto any crime page in American media and you will read about unbelievable violent crimes....often after trivial arguments. For example, a father and son kill each other in a shootout over a dog...and a Covid patient killed a neighbouring patient with an oxygen tank after he began to pray. There are many, many more like that. Senseless rage. I am absolutely sure that the vast, vast majority are all good people, but mindless anger combined with readily available weapons is a recipe for disaster. I don't even think there is an answer....since any attempt to remove their guns could easily precipitate a civil war.

 

Whoever can tell me how to switch off "auto correct" will have my external Gertrude !!

 

My problem is convincing my dog that he can't lie across the computer when I'm typing and licking the keyboard doesn't help either.

 

Big Steve, my cat managed to open Word, create a new document (although untitled) type a few lines and then save it to My Documents. Not helpful at all but it showed a fine grasp of technology for something without opposable thumbs
