Looking toward qualification for the premier trotting race on the planet, the Prix d'Amerique, the defending champion Face Time Bourbon faced a hot field yesterday, over the 2850m trip at Vincennes. Going into the race, he'd chalked up 26 wins from his 30 starts, with 11 G1 wins. No 16. Two from the outside. Yellow and green. https://www.letrot.com/fr/replay-courses/2020-12-13/7500/4
Ned Curtis who was a good conditional at Kim Baileys yard in my opinion is the next jockey from britain after James Reveley and Felix De Giles who is riding in france now. Today he has 2 rides at Cagnes in the first and the last race.
His first ride was a winner. In the upcoming race he could be in the mix again on Mester (horse not lightly to dismiss on old Auteuil Form)
Two more qualifying races for the Prix d' Amerique were held yesterday. Qualifying Heat 3. Gu d'Heripre. No 4 Green. He looks like being a very good horse. https://www.letrot.com/fr/replay-courses/2020-12-27/7500/4
Qualifying Heat 4. Feerie Wood. No 6 Blue. Another strong win. https://www.letrot.com/fr/replay-courses/2020-12-27/7500/6
Arguably the best trotter on the planet, Face Time Bourbon, goes around next Sunday in Heat 5. He won't need the win as he's already qualified, but connections are using the event as a prep race for the big one on Jan. 31.
And in the mounted category, Helitlopet took out the premier G1 Mounted race at Vincennes, the Prix de Vincennes, in dashing style. Another serious horse. No 3. https://www.letrot.com/fr/replay-courses/2020-12-27/7500/5
