Wetherby 11.55 Euro Fou Tim Easterby was unlucky not to collect a minor prize with big outsider Cuba Ruba coming down at the last hurdle yesterday but has another one today at Wetherby who could outrun his odds. Euro Fou could be suited by the step up in distance and the fitting of cheekpieces may help too on handicap debut. Colm McCormack is an expierenced conditional. At 20/1 on offer worth a small each way.
Morning all... Two bets today: Wetherby 1.35pm Flight Command 30/1 each way extra 5 places bet365. Horse is going well at home but there is a question mark over stamina which will be tested today so I ve gone for 5 places. It will also be a bit of a learning curve too ..66/1 was available for 3 places. Kempton 3.05pm The Kings Writ 8/1 each way 4 places. Claimer on board taking a useful 7lbs off and definitely in with a shout in this which looks pretty open with question marks against many.. Good luck all!
Good to see ITV are showing 3 races from Leopardstown today after Chepstow's abandonment. All about the mare Put The Kettle On for me in the big one - a real rags to riches story and owned by a syndicate to boot - what's not to like? Over at Kempton it is no penalty kick for Shishkin (despite the small field) and it should give us a better idea of his potential over fences than his exercise canter on debut. Stablemate Altior also faces a stern test in the Desert Orchid Chase and maybe my old favourite Sceau Royal can make his fitness advantage tell?
a couple of real superstars in action today - SHISKIN can't be opposed but Altior is definitely vulnerable and can be taken on by outsiders ROUGE VIF and even Nube Negra. Duc Des Genieves should also be considered if PUT THE KETTLE ON wins the 1.10 at Leopardstown. The 1.55 at Kempton is very competitive , but I am leaning slightly to the Skelton's MOLLY OLLYS WISHES
Wolverhampton 1.50 Last Date I like trying to solve puzzles like this class 6 handicap on the AW. Wolverhampton is one of the tracks where Ivan Furtado mainly earns his money over the winter. Last Date has won 2 times at Chelmsford before a long break and his running on 4th at Wolverhampton when returning this season was promising. A bit unlucky last time when having no clear run. On a winning mark now and could run well for each way purposes.
We saw some surprise results yesterday with the champion hurdle favourite beaten and the two big guns beaten in the King George.. Will we see either Shishkin and Altior beaten today? Or will they both be beat? You wouldn't rule anything out... Can't see Sceau Royal being a danger though..surely the ground is too soft for him?
Careful with bets at Wetherby, not jumping most of the fences and race distances are much longer than advertised.
nichols only had one winner yesterday from multiple darts , and that was 20/1 , fine margins , but they seem to be fine in bumpers , other disciplines not so
Ltown 2.20- Winner Takes It All 4/1. Mark Walsh sides over last year's winner The Moyglass Flyer. Runs off a decent mark.
What did the Irish lads make of French Aseel there? Gone 2nd fav for the Triumph after that demolition job
If you can get a price anywhere then back Appreciate It for the 2022 Arkle - fences will be no problem to that lad
