Yeah Smug, I've seen it. I was at one of the meetings they did back in February about redeveloping the city centre. If the plans come off it'll be fantastic and really kick start the local economy. I've seen a couple of proposals for the footbridge design linking Vaux to the Sheepfolds, ones basic like the current Gill bridge, the other one is a box girder bridge the resembles the original Wearmouth Bridge (my choice if we can select the design). That should be ready in 2 years. Just get that bloody awful train station sorted out!

Because of the virus and the restrictions on holidays abroad, we have planned and booked to do the North Coast 500 for May 2021. It's something we have wanted to do for years and the current circumstances have forced our hand. I hope Scotland get out of Tier 4, I would hate to think we had to cancel it.

Just got 25 million to do the train station and the design options look really good. I live right on the areas of development around the Gill and vaux and there is lots to do in those areas but if and when they do it will be fantastic for the city will a beautiful walk over to the stadium

I've been recently readinup on the CANZUK proposal by the Aussies and for me its compliments what we actually need at this time.....It is as big if not bigger trading partnership than the EU and its cover not only those countries that make up CANZUK but a good few peripherals in the southern hemisphere allied to the Aussies. its xciting times ahead. they may be choppy but even Columbus encountered storms on his way to the new world.

Let's hope the town gets a boost, it's not had a decent break for years tbh.

I'm from Durham so it isn't really my town but I'd love to see it redeveloped as is should/could be.
The gist of the FPP feasibility studies, I managed to see, was incredible and aimed at using council, local business, University, government money to change the Metro station/Sheepfolds, road/river access, AOL, etc.

With FPP side-lined, Brexit done and the country is massive debt who knows ....

I grew up in Millfield, so I know the area really well. I still drink in the Vaults and the Isis, so seeing the start of the developments has been interesting, the new road is already making a massive change. You're right about when the footbridge is built and Vaux and Farringdon Row are developed along with the Sheepfolds, it'll be a really good and impressive walk to get to the ground. And I hope the club are involved with the Sheepfolds redevelopment proposals.

I grew up Millfield too and have walked the Gill way every day for 35 years, the plans they have for down there are going to transform the area completely. It's a pain to live next to it being done and would prefer to just be passing by one day and see it finished!

Cycling it will take you a while if you want to take in everything along the way. We are driving it over 9 days and once we started looking at a daily itineraries we wished we had booked more hotels and over a longer period.

Surely if that footbridge gets done it will
Make the stadium of light a much better prospect for England games, concerts and the like

yeh we will probably only be doing it in 5 days which is a shame. But it’s more of a challenge thing than a sightseeing thing. Would love to do it leisurely

Well, we have a new owner that is rich and purely football orientated. Some say he is too young, he has been around OM from a young age learning the ropes, but I digress.... yes... yes we will be taking over them.

I'm buzzing for the next 12 months and beyond I must admit. The new sporting director sounds brilliant, the new gaffer is on the same page and we actually have a plan on the pitch throughout the club. I think big things will happen on and off the pitch for us. I can't get Johnson's comment about Kenny Dalglish congratulating him about the job out of my mind, he hasn't managed at the top level but he has got King Kenny on speedial :1980_boogie_down: and he commented about his 'contacts' in the game, January should be very interesting IMO.

Early days of course, but these lads certainly seem to be on another level (or 3) to what we have had for the last year or 2.

This guys interest and previous involvement in football is more than we could hope with most billionaires. Bot only is he more clued up in the football world than our previous billionaire he is richer.

Signs we have seen already and the fact we are now talking about things we have been crying out for; data analytics, investing in scouting networks and youths shows that he is making better decisions than we have seen in decades.
