Merry Christmas from NOT606. Here are the latest headlines from Elland Road.

Leeds tipped to sign 'Bulldozer in boots'

Speculation is rife that Leeds are digging deep into their coffers to prepare a bid to bring Spanish International Adoma Traore to Elland Road.

The potential marquee signing is understood to be high on Bielsa's wish list, and as the 24yo is yet to agree an extension to his contract, mainly due to a lack of playing time, Wolves may decide to cash in on the 40m talent.

Traore is no stranger to Victor Orta. The Leeds director of football signed the lightening fast winger whilst with Middlesbrough in 2016 for just over 7m. At the time of the transfer, Orta said Traoré could be the most exciting prospect now in Spain!

If we were to land Traore, it would certainly spell the end for Helder Costa. I dare say that Leeds would be able to recoup a large portion of the 15m we paid for the 26yo last season.

The cash is available should Leeds want it. The San Francisco 49ers have the cash ready, in exchange for a larger part of Leeds Utd.

Should Leeds splash out 40m on one player.

Treore only cost Wolves 18m, 18 months ago! Obviously he would improve the team.

Do Leeds have more pressing areas where the money should be distributed?

£40m would get us anothe CB and LB, 2 positions that are a priority for me.

Why pay that money for someone who can't get into the Wolves team, something not quite right, after all he was talked about as going to Liverpool for £70m last season.
Loan with option, fair enough but too much money as it stands.

Morning all and a Happy Xmas <cracker>

Traore isnt for me but if its correct that Bielsa wants him, then so be it, but £40m? I suggest there are much cheaper flyers in Europe and especially in France where tv money has dried up. French clubs are skint and need cash, so for me go out and buy a cut price flyer. If it is fact that Bielsa wants him then it’ll be a loan to buy at the end of the season if we stay up.

Not going to do a transfer window sticky because I dont believe we are wanting anyone yet. We know Bielsa wants players fully up to speed and that could be March depending on the player and that may be too late. There are however opportunities that arise that would be a silly not to buy or loan we may also have someone we tapped up in the Summer but couldn't get over the line, so we wait and see, butI suspect besides that we will do nothing.

Traore is one of my favourite players to watch. We're already the best team in the league to watch, for both good and bad reasons, but with Adama the entertainment factor at Elland Road would be through the roof. I didn't realise he was only 24 years old as well.

Can we justify £40 million on one player though? Well if we want to be a top six side we're going to have to spend that kind of money eventually, but for our first season in the Premier League most fans would rather take two £20 million players.

Remember we would have to factor in the extra expenditure on baby oiling his arms.

    Don't want traore.

    We've enough wingers ffs.

Need a couple of goalscorers and a specialist LB. We still need a replacement for Pablo. Rodrigo hasn't got the defensive intelligence needed for this system. He will have to fight it out with Bamford up front.

Spent 120 million already, talk about another 40 million for one player????
Just reminds me a little of Ridsdale/OLeary era.... just hope we don’t go down that route, maybe Traore is going to be Harrison’s replacement.... why other would we loan him for 3 seasons without a buy clause?
So what will be will be, so in the meantime have a nice Christmas and hopefully a better 2021 virus wise.

Llorente is available for Burnley. We know that doesn't mean Bielsa will select him but hopefully it won't be too long before we see him.

If we stay up I’d happily take Traore, I think he’d suit our system quite well and if Harrison is inconsistent he’s a good player to have come in. It might even be that Bielsa is thinking of Traore as a winger and moving Harrison to LB. I don’t mind spending the money as we need to improve the squad with every window. If Bielsa wants him and it doesn’t stop us getting a LB and CM in the summer I’d be happy. If we buy 3 players in the summer for circa 100 million that isn’t much considering the PL and considering we want to keep climbing up the league. Probably just paper talk though.

On Llorente now being fit you’d have to go Ayling and Struijk as our CBs for Burnley unless Llorente is 100% because we don’t want him in for a full 90 if he’s not fully fit and going to be out for another month. Better to ease him in over the next 2-3 weeks.

I'd love a left back, around 6ft 3 that was a specialist free kick taker

    Morning all,

If Llorente is available the he needs to start alongside Struijk. Time to stop putting round pegs in square holes if we are not forced to.

Be nice to have a couple of tall cb's in to face Wood and I'm sure the other 10 tall players Burnley surely have

That’s also possibly in his thinking although I’d say Traore’s strengths are pace and attacking which would work in our system and Harrison is usually pretty good defensively and has pace but they could switch places which would also be good for our system.

I suppose the Orta link as well as knowing Bamford could help.

Loving the fact that Bielsa has just put the pundits and media in their place at his presser. He told them all their analysis was wrong as Leeds had exactly the same amount of chances as Man Utd and could have won. He didnt anticipate the influence of McTominy and Fred. he kicked off some of the rubbish coming from so called pundits, he told everyone he wont be changing his views on how to play because he is always proved right. He ripped into Dyches comments about forgetting results by playing for style as his results speak for themselves and warned the media that Leeds are coming to terms with playing in the best league in the world and some of the best players in the world. When team up their game/physical output to compete with Leeds it usually comes down to who has the best players and Chelsea and Man Utd showed that

Adama is a no for me...

We need a left back and a right back as a priority. We can't filling in left wingers in those positions. We also need a long term replacement to Pablo.

What are we, Wolves dumping ground for players who are over priced and not good enough for them? Look at the size of him, he would never last a murder ball session those muscles would take every ounce of oxygen, I don't believe the stories myself
