You learn who your friends are at times like this, don't you.

We identify the Coronavirus variant first, and before you can say "social distance" 40 countries close their borders to us.
    Charming.
We didn't invent the bloody thing, we just spotted it first.
It's probably already in most of those 40 countries.

The next time one of those countries needs our help, I hope we tell them to whistle for it.

Top man Keir Starmer. Johnson has been an absolute disaster. Where's the oven ready deal Boris. Even dyed in the wool Tories that I know want him out.

On exiting Bromley South station yesterday I noticed two Transport Police between the entrance and the barriers. A rare sight that promoted the Elf to get the official view on the wholesale disregard for face coverings on public transport.
I was told that they had NO powers to stop somebody boarding a train if the passenger said they were exempt and DID NOT have evidence! Madness.
During the conversation two individuals were pulled, no doubt because I had brought the subject up, one guy argued with the policeman and then was given a covering. He then showed total contempt of the situation by having the covering underneath his nose. To the credit of the policeman he pulled up the guy....again.
In the past I have spoken to officials on the underground, and they have said the BAME are the worst culprits. I find this strange when they are supposedly the most vulnerable.

A very thought provoking and moving post @The mighty Elfsborg .

Could you be a little more specific as to the culprits, as I am sure the wider membership on here should be aware for the sake of their own health and well-being.

    Stay safe <peacedove>

My experience from commuting in the first 8 months of lockdown exactly mirrors what @The mighty Elfsborg has reported. Everybody knows it, but the Woke Bullying Left won’t want to discuss it. The police and public sector (irony) transport workers have been put in a very dangerous position because certain communities simply refuse in the main to obey simple rules.

It’s a mixture of arrogance and incredible, untreatable stupidity.
