Still occasionally just a bit too reluctant to play that final ball.

For me, we have been excellent but in the last two games we have played too much in front of our opponents rather than getting in behind.

we have been excellent though and have just competed superbly with the second best team in the league. They know it’s been a game and people will know we are a real team these days.

FT. Played well just lack a bit of cutting edge. Plenty of positives to take from that.

Well played Saints. A bit more quality up front and we get at least 1 point against a team that took us really seriously.

Went toe to toe with Man City. Not many teams can do that.

Gave a good account of ourselves, need to follow this up by making short work of Fulham though.

    Europa League the target imo.

Happy with that performance in general. Such a shame. Couod easily have 4 points from arsenal and City. But can't knock them at all

That was hard to take. If we had 11 players for the whole game, we could have snatched it. Previous seasons we were ripped apart.

Decent performance, lack some attaching options coming off the bench. Redmond is too inconsistent and usually ****

That was a very telling performance for me. What an amazing job everyone has done.

We are back boys and girls. A team to be proud of again.

Patience is fine and dandy, but there are times when impatience is the better option. We had a lot of pace on the pitch, and City was backing up...play early balls! Ederson's excellent at coming off his line, but make him make uncomfortable decisions. Make City's defenders hesitate while running toward their goal.

Ah well, that was one of the best losing performances you could ask for. Lots of positives, notably Theo and Jannik, and assured from JWP and Oriol. Promising signs from Tella too.

Unlucky Saints. Great effort. Theo and Vesta immense, and I think Che is getting better and better. Really love this team. Such a shame we didn’t get more from the last two games.

Great performance, but scuppered once we lost Danny. We never quite had enough with the kids on, but a performance to be proud of.

It seems to me that Theo's arrival and subsequent performance, even if not quite where he or Ralph wants him to be, has challenged Redders confidence and maybe even attitude. Not certain but I suspected all along that he would either really get going with the stimulus of his place in the team being on the line, or he may be going. You can only have so much patience with a player's form and readiness to be on top of his game, so far he's failed to prove beyond doubt that he can be consistent, and that is a quality Ralph puts a lot of weight on with team selection decisions.
