About 140,000 people have been vaccinated in the first week of the process. This is about half the number required if the target of vaccinating all the vulnerable and key workers by Easter is to be achieved. Hancock said that ‘millions’ of people would have had the first jab before Christmas. I have not heard of any delay in delivery of the vaccine from Pfizer, so there should be enough to vaccinate 2 - 2.5m people. So was the distribution chain or delivery process poorly put together or is it that once again these selfish shoppers and students who don’t show respect are ruining things for everyone else? The IT system, called Pinnacle, which was to record who has actually had the jab is failing constantly so GPs are having to record this on paper, and hopefully find time to upload it later, when the thing is working. Let’s see who got the contract for this one......it’s Emis, which at least is an actual software company with experience of delivering systems in primary care.
Zzzzzzzz Might have something to do with the Fact that it needs to be stored at -70 and handled correctly. The people that are getting the vaccine need to do a small medical ( forms) to make sure that they are okay to receive. The whole process is quite long and as it’s new and will ultimately have a slow start. That’s not me saying this it’s by someone who actually knows. Still I guess some will moan at everything they do?
Matt Hancock comes across as an excitable puppy - much like my current CEO who is apt to put ludicrously optimistic dates on projects only to have to row back when he actually speaks to those experts responsible for delivering Not seen my CEO burst into tears on the TV though
I may not agree with everything my CEO says but that is pretty drastic Oh....you didn't mean him did you?
Who do you get your info from, your credibility is pretty low on here. The facts of storage, transportation and registration have been known for months, and Handcock said ‘millions’ by Christmas. Two and a half days to go!
You say my credibility is low? Mmm I think you need to look at some of the Long winded rubbish you have posted on here and the politics thread. When I said about Uni infections and the spread you tried to mock me but it was a bit stupid as my comments were correct. However you keep the anti government posts going as they do make me laugh.
Ridiculous ineptitude continues. Plenty of it across Europe too. Germany is in meltdown, with the government being accused of thousands of extra death because they can't access the vaccine yet due to EU red tape. If our government were in that position this board would self destruct with indignation.
It’s quite worrying that France has nearly caught us up with deaths. Italy in front . I know it’s not a race but it seems to be going mad in Europe. Germany has had an increase and Sweden is getting slated for its handling. I have said all along not to keep blaming the governments because this is new and things are changing daily.
France has 6000 fewer deaths than us and has been reporting less than half the daily numbers we have over the last few days. Good thing it’s not a race.
Go back a check the difference from earlier this year ‘last word Watford‘ I could save you your time but I won’t... you can look it up and see.
I wouldn’t fact check you if you didn’t post such utter bollocks in support of the Party you pay to be a member of on here daily.
Just from this week we could talk about Rees-Mogg having a go at UNICEF for helping feed hungry British kids in 2020. Or Gavin Williamson forcing schools in the worst hit parts of the country from closing early for Christmas. Or non-sensical taxpayer-funded adverts about being ready for Brexit with absolutely no detail on what sort of Brexit that will be with seven working days until the end of the year. But that would mean talking about politics and you don’t like talking about politics any more.
