    Big ups and big downs.

Cant help thinking that a little less intransigence on both sides of the debate then we wouldn't be in league 1 right now.

    But what do I know.?

A little less intransigence and they would've already left years ago.

Yet at least we're not fighting for football. League survival in a crumbling ground with a part time accountant playing centre midfield....
.... A little less intransigence from militant supporters we might not have a Chris Needler #2 situation ?

A 'Decade' that shouldn't have been shat on by the Allams!

    What a sad waste.

Buckingham hiding behind his new job here. Why didn't he headline that at the time if he thought the club was bought for a pound ?

I felt really shat on at Wembley, didn't you ? Was it three times ? I could smell the **** as we all sang Abide with me before the FA Cup Final, stunk the place out it did. Then going on the P@)O Ferry with all my family to watch City in Europe, felt shat on that week for sure. When we spent £10m on Hermandez I could feel the **** dripping down my neck. To rub my face in the brown stuff the cheeky robbing bastards charge me less for my season ticket then I was paying before they arrived !

Maybe out on a limb here, but I'd rather they had never had anything to do with 'my' club and that we'd taken our chances without them.
May 2008 and the rest of that calendar year were the very best of times. Everything since was tainted, and at too high a price to pay.
And now we are division 3 and still more in debt than we were.

-> ... A little less intransigence from militant supporters we might not have a Chris Needler #2 situation ?
Really? We've been incredibly tolerant of the ****s.

How was Steve Bruce’s first promotion tainted?
We were already in debt when browny got us promotion. We did that on money we didn’t have as was the pl season under him. Is that tainted?

-> How was Steve Bruce’s first promotion tainted?
    Fair point, to a degree.
Yes, it did, on the surface at least, appear to start well.
1 or 2 did warn us from the off. I didn't believe them. But they were bang on the money.
The truth & reality did come out and so looking back it can be seen as 'tainted'.

-> We were already in debt when browny got us promotion. We did that on money we didn’t have as was the pl season under him. Is that tainted?
2 different points (the 'tainting' and the debt).
The debt point is simply that they inherited us with an (alledged) £30 or £40 mill debt, and we still have an (alledged) £40 or £50 mill debt ..... in spite of us being the best run club in the country, them being business geniuses, and having a couple hundred million or so.

For me, the decade just hasn't been worth it. They've ripped the club apart. They've lost another generation, never mind lost many of the existing generations. They even disenfranchised the non footballing community. There was something really special still there before they took over; ok, it was hanging by a thread but as said, I'd have rather they hadn't showed up and we'd taken our chances without them. It's so sad what has happened to 'our' club under their watch.

Look back over our history we lose a generation regularly
Big crowds few years later crap crowds
    Through our history that.
There’s no reason the fans couldn’t have stuck together but they just walked away as they always do

That's nonsense, we'd never been in the top flight before, there was an opportunity here that had never existed previously and it was spunked away through petulance and stupidity.

I'll always maintain that anyone who says that they saved the club from going out of existence is simultaneously saying that Adam Pearson would have allowed it to happen. And we all know that he wouldn't. Like many of us, he was charmed into handing the club over to them.

The last 10 years have been a monumental failure in club and fan interaction. With the shifting landscape of the game in this country, the days of PL football and Wembley trips are potentially lost forever. It might well be a simple case of a return to our natural level, but the hard work of many people both inside and outside the club has literally been pissed on. A lost generation of fans, and thousands of others alienated to the point of no longer identifying themselves as supporters. All brought about by inflated egos.
