Two horses interest me in the last race at Happy Valley

    Baby @ 16-1
    Prince Of Frog @ 12-1

Each Way bets on both with William Hill [4 places]

    255 doitforthevillage around 11/2
Questionable but weighted to win with a drop in class and distance . Goes well at track and so does the trainer and jockey .

I get the impression that they think he has lost a bit of his zest and that the run in the Grand Sefton was in hope that the unique Aintree fences would perk him up. It didnt work.
He won this race last year off 2lb higher but I dont think he is anywhere near that this time round. Good luck mate, just sharing my thoughts.

LISA DE VASSY 6/1 Ludlow 3:05
Trainer and jockey combo have won this race on both runnings and I think this one has been purchased with the hat-trick bid in mind. Has very few miles on the clock and there could easily be plenty more to come. Furthest trip tried thus far and I think it will suit.

I know what you are saying and i really questioned with myself over this , so much so i could have taken 7s but missed it ! It is a gamble but realistically if they arrive ready they win , looks a good race though and credit to ludlow (never been there myself) but they do thow up some good meetings .

230 coup de pinceau really does not look like a 20/1 shot here . Has the pace and should relish the conditions . Track and distance no problem so fingers crossed they oblidge on the first time of asking for the new yard . E/w obviously

    Ludlow 2.30 Kilfilum Cross

Back on favoured soft ground today and same mark now as when 2nd in the Kim Muir at Cheltenham. Henry Oliver has been amongst the winners recently. His record at Ludlow in chases over the last 5 seasons looks good for each way purposes:

    15 runs 4 wins 5 places

At 9/1 on offer could reach a place at least.

    Good luck everyone

Caid du LIn runs in the valuable Class 2 Tanners Champagne Handicap Chase at Ludlow this afternoon.
The handicap system does no favours to talented but experienced horses like Caid du Lin. Off a mark of 142 he is exposed to young improving types who are ahead of the handicapper and it's hard for him to get his head in front. He carries top weight today in the race that he won last year. It will be a very special day if our popular grey can get his head in front in the feature race.
