First priority for me, is that KLD has over 50% of the club. That should fully put to bed (but it won't) any idea that it's not a takeover. Second priority is that Donald's share is close to non existant. In an ideal world it would be gone in totality. Frankly I'll take priority 1 - even if its "just" Sartori and KLD splitting their shares differently so KLD has more. But that makes no sense. and based on what Prehab says, it feels more likely that his greater shareholding is coming from Donald. Just got to hope now he has more than 50%. That to me is more important than Donald having 0%
If Donald has agreed to dilute his shares, and by the sounds of it he has little choice, I cant see why KLD would increase to anything less than 50/51% so he cant be outvoted.
It is for Don like. Either take the deal from KLD or keep on funding us and hope for promotion and a fairly quick sale when we're in the Championship. He doesn't have the money to do that though, so what can he really do? I don't think he'll want to lose all the cash he's put in so letting the club default to FFP isn't an option either. I still think it's a queston of when, not if he sells and while I'd like an announcement now, at least I'm seeing improvements being made in terms of staff and a culture being created.
I just hope for SD’s sake and sanity that when all this is over and he eventually has no stake in the club, he will realise that there is a massive disparity between owning a football club and running one. And with that in mind he should also realise that he should never ever even think about doing it again.
Lads - it's awesome that it sounds like one of the two hurdles Nixon said there were yesterday has been overcome. Awesome. Have you heard anything about the other one - the FPP needing paying off one? That feels like a harder hurdle to negotiate unless the current members of Madrox have agreed to split it and pay it back with their proceeds from KLDs investment?
