I think regardless if city win promotion he will be looking for another job. Ehab stated he is a Manager with lots of League 1 experience. He did not do well in the championship. Ok his 2 best players were sold but would anyone here differ with me if we had either Pulis or Warnock or even Adkins we would still be in the championship. I doubt Dowie could have done worse
The only one against crewe who looked like pushing for a place in the first 11 was mcloughlin, wouldn't be aggrieved to see him drop in to the starting 11 on Tues, klp got to come in for adelakun who is yet to convince. Other than that..... Cm needs freshening up, but slater hasn't looked great and GM seems to hate batty so maybe Jones would be worth a go
The FA Laws state: A direct free kick is awarded if a player commits any of the following offences: a handball offence (except for the goalkeeper within their penalty area) holds an opponent impedes an opponent with contact bites or spits at someone throws an object at the ball, opponent or match official, or makes contact with the ball with a held object What Kane does is highlighted in bold. He backs into players without making any attempt to challenge for the ball. It's a foul.
Same as if we were in a Cup Final or any game for that matter, and one of our players scored a goal against a keeper 7 or 8 inches taller in an aerial duel due to some illicit use of his hand. They would say something completely different than they do about Maradona.
Chris Martin did it well when he played for us. We (or at least some) called him a 'clever' player! (not that his time with us was great). Kane does it incredibly well. He, like many other strikers these days, are also very good (clever) at stepping across defenders when both are chasing a ball, forcing the defender into fouling them. It's not exactly sporting behaviour, as it's all done with the sole intention of drawing a foul (often a penalty), but they get away with it time & again, so refs must see it as within the rules. It's nothing that new, but it seems like we see more of it these days, maybe because the game is so much faster. Our strikers still have a lot to learn, especially Eaves.
To be honest, I'm not sure I would. It would totally sour it for me. A cheating bastard like that is a cheating bastard.
