Jeez mate, it’s humour ffs. If it helps it’s a pisstake of Makemstien who regularly tells us he was a para. I did 11 years in the army. I’m fully aware of what the Parachute Regiment are capable of. I’ve met enough of them. My brother in law finished up as a Colour Sergeant in 3 Para. I did my corporals course at 10 Airborne Workshop in Aldershot in 1990. The last unit I served with before I left the army was part of the D-Day 50 commemorations in Aromanche in 1994 where I had the honour of meeting lots of very brave men and women. Your dad was clearly a very brave man and I genuinely take my hat off to him and to everybody else who did their part in the carnage that was WW2.
I understand the comedy side of it but as my dad isn't about I tend to get a bit tetchy about any belittling of what he was, but the main thing is FTM. Merry Christmas
If Nixons crack is right about KLD wanting more that could be excellent news. I'd be happy to wait a little longer if it meant KLD taking a majority share. Found it strange the suggestion that the most anyone person would have 40%
I understand that, but it’s military humour and there’s always banter between regiments. It’s a soldier's way of getting through the bad times.
Just like the Poyet situation. All parts are lined up, deals agreed, handshakes etc. but unfortunately, until signatures are on bits of paper, nothing or no one can prepare for a person's change of heart. Still just have to wait and see. I did, however, think that Sunderland may knock back the "bail out" money because why would we need it? Surely if the deal is that close it wouldn't be an issue or an option that Donald mite consider. IMO a lot of this is paper talk with a hint of envy from the press as to how rich a club we could become. KTF and FTM.
I don't like the sound of this. Its sounds like another round of negotiations which then brings more risk of it collapsing. Just get it ****ing signed off. Fans have had enough uncertainty. Uncertainty at the top destroys football clubs. We've had it for 5 years.
This just my opinion but I think Donald will stubbornly hold out on any takeover/investment/shares etc that would put him further down the pecking order so to speak. I reckon his ego wants this last chance to get promotion while he's owner, seeing how we do under Johnson and wait until the summer, again. Like I say, imo.
I was puzzled why would anyone want to invest big money just for 40% of the club. Makes sense for Dreyfus to want more, but I can't see how it got this far without this problem being sorted? It doesn' look good, I'm afraid now that Donald would take an EFL loan and getting his hopes up with the latest result he could f.... up this takeover too. Never that simple at Sunderland isn't it?
"The appointment of Lee [Johnson] was made by the board of Sunderland, and the decision to bring in Kristjaan [Speakman] was made by the board of Sunderland. "Those are the facts."
Well that answers the questions people have been asking about whether the change of manager and new appointments are down to the potential new ownership. All of these decisons have been made by the current owners. Worth noting of course that Sartori is a current board member and will most certainly have had dialogue with KDF of the changes.
