I’m doing everything I can to not get carried away by yesterday. It was one performance and any old bunch of muppets can look like world beaters on a single day but OH MY ****ING CHRIST IT WAS ****ING BRILLIANT.

the takeover would just be the cherry on the amazing cake that is Speakman and Johnson

What a load of plonkies on here! I thought I could drink when I was in my younger years, but I’m not even placed compared with you lot. One new year eve I drank 11 pints of vaux something or other and thought I’d done well to get home ok. The only time I mixed drinks like some of you, was a Xmas eve when I had rums, whiskies and copious beers. I tried picking a fight with a lad in the paras, (me - 5’7” and 10 stone wringing wet with my pockets full of pebbles) fortunately I was grabbed by my mates and hurried out of the pub! Couldn’t eat my dinner on Xmas day. Never again.

the way the team went about it yesterday proved one thing for me... Most posters do actually know how to play the game. When things are wrong most posters can spot and identify the problems, be that lack of pace, attitude, using wide players , who should play and who not, getting in front of your man in the six yard area. , bodies in the box, back tracking , bodies between the opponent ant our goal , pushing opponent out wide instead of allowing them to cut inside, effort and how they generally read the game etc.. Everything that has been posted by Sunderland supporters over the past few years identifying the cause of not playing well were in the main, dispelled yesterday.

One thing that does needs tightening up, if I'm being pedantic, is our game play management.. Never let anyone tell you that "supporters know nothing because we've not played the game". You listening Marco?

You're right about money being shifted around. Just raised my bank, 3 sons, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren. Glad Christmas only comes annually.

Paras are soft as ****e anyway. You would’ve won quite easily with both hands tied behind your back and dressed as a fairy.
In fact, if you look closely you’ll see @Makemstine Roger in this bit of film showing them practicing drill.

this is excellent news. Donald and Methven can’t afford to hang on much longer. Will have to yield.

Is it more from JS or giving SD and CM less, the latter is better for me and get shot of them. It can’t be at the EFL if it’s not even agreed yet, though.

it can be - there are several checks they can do with the EFL - hence the dialogue already starting as confirmed by Rodwell.

It seems inevitable that KLD takes a stake - the question is now how much. This could be a perfect scenario.

FPP wanting their money in full now will also mean Donald is pressured into selling more to pay for it

I don’t know how it works mate but aye maybe there are checks they can do behind further contractual discussions. The more KLD gets the better for me.

The extra £1.8m will be the interest on the loan I would guess.

Which works out at 18% in a little over a year- club should have sorted themselves themselves out with a Big business bounce back loan to repay this.

Donald is ****ed. He can either sell his remaining stake now for a decent amount, or risk losing everything and handing the club to FPP.

FPP saying they want repaid in full as soon as this deal happens, combined with KLD demanding more, has completely ****ed Donald’s plan. His plan to hold on to a few shares to get quids in later has reduced in benefit if he has to pay FPP back in full now.

KLD has him over a barrel the way FPP wanted to, and I think FPP are now helping to finish the ****er off - perhaps as a way of “thanking” him for messing them about.

    merry ****ing Christmas everyone.

There's another snippet from the newspaper article this comes from (both from Nixon I believe) where it says we're hoping for a cash boost from the EFL compensation scheme but that comes with a transfer ban attached, bad news for a buyer.
I hope Donald doesn't take that cash through greed and scuppers a deal. Also interesting about the transfer ban, was Donald willing to take the money knowing we wouldn't be able to strengthen with it?

  16. ****ing hell! We’ve gone from SD holding it up, to JS and KLD holding it up, to the EFL holding it up, now to FPP holding it up and back to KLD coming in at 11th hour with additional, fundamental demands!
You couldn’t script the nonsense which has been put forward by the media. According to them, there’s been that many twists and skullduggery, you’d imagine Barnier is conducting negotiations under orders from Berlin and Paris!:emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Half time in the dressing room, Brown told Shack to drop back and pick up the ball and get it to Ford or Broadiss.
He told Brown, if he's worth 30k, and Ivor is worth 22k, tell them to come and fetch it themselves.

We paid 18k for Shack, me mam's favourite, his book is a great read

I'll chuck my two pence in on this one and offer an alternate view - after buying a bottle when I read about it on here...

Really heavy and syrupy... a bit like watered down jam... not pleasant at all. So bad in fact that I committed a cardinal sin and tipped half the bottle down the sink <devil> I think it's made from concentrate.

I'd recommend spending the same money on a nice bottle of Cotes du Rhone (most supermarkets have a few varieties for different budgets) or a Douro (Aldi/Morrisons) - very tasty :)
