    No doubt in my mind it’s happening, that ****e yesterday was taken out of context and stirred the hornets nest, rodwell has thrown water on it today by speaking to the media, no chance of admin and takeover on

    This has been quite a fractious day in all kinds of ways. We have a film crew here until the 18th who will leave me some drone shots of the place which I'll post. During the week, prior to their arrival, the internet went off, the heating system collapsed, the water went off and the pool turned green.

    But, after all that, I had a great message this evening.

    To paraphrase it was, 'Ignore all the nonsense, the takeover is fine and good times are here."

    That'll do for me, everyone else can believe whatever they choose ...

    ... I'm opening a can to celebrate.

    I don’t like to get ahead of myself but this really does feel like a club on the move.

    People representing the club saying all the right things regarding the takeover.

    Potential new owner is young football mad and with great contacts in the game.

    New, young, forward playing manager already making the squad look like a completely different set of players and playing a style of football we haven’t seen in years.

    A new sporting director with a clear vision of how we as a club should be seen, working with the manager on giving us a playing identity “ the Sunderland way “.

    All in all it feels like a really good time to be a Sunderland fan, a feeling we’ve not had for a very long time.

    Watch some b***ard spoil it <laugh><laugh><laugh>

    I was feeling pretty low about the takeover today and SDs continued influence but that stunning performance today and positive news like this make it a perfect day.

    A bottle of red followed by some Glenfiddich for me

    Orrrr yes, I found this in chesterfield back in June on a course, it was a cracking drink. I was staying in a pub that wasn’t allowed to sell drink(nightmare) but Morrison’s over the road sold this.
