Why would a highly respected barrister representing Newcastle United wind up fans? De Marco is savvy enough to know that hidden meanings will be found in his tweets. It could be his way of communicating the current status to reassure fans. He isn't breaking any legal rules tbst way.
I think these fans just don't want to admit they believe in fear of being laughed or let down in the future. The reality imo is they do believe and its some kind of weird defence mechanism.
