Well he did also say that it would only happen if something quite significant forced his move and that in the ordinary course of events this would not be for some time, adding further that he would like to be captain of Arsenal one day, perhaps after RvP.

I think he would be an excellent captain. The man has spirit, leadership qualities and from where he stands, he sees the entire field of play, something very difficult for Robin to do.

 

Who wouldn't leave their respective team for Barca?

 

Probably cooked by the media, they asked him whether he would ever like to play for Barca (who wouldn't), and twisted the meaning to say he might want a move away from Arsenal. Anything to stick the knife in right now.

 

A good keeper somebody who you definately need to keep

 

He won't get in, if he is making that kinda errors that cost us a point against tiny tots, or the the kind of goals he gave away at Manure.... at least 2 of those goals was down to him.... I'll suggest he concentrates on making himself a good goalie before he starts shooting his mouth.... How many goals has he conceeded this season?

The guys a hero. Despite still being young, he clearly loves the club. The way hes been talking recently about wanting to be captain, saying spurs are not bigger just because they won on the weekend etc shows how much playing for Arsenal means to him.

If a player wants the chance to play for the best club team in the world, why would it be such an issue? As it goes, I imagine its a nothing story and he'll be at Arsenal for many years to come and will probably be captain one day.

 

Chesney, if you're reading this...you're the best thing that's happened this season. Keep the faith, you'll be one of the best in the world and recognised for it in the next few years
