You could say that the first challenge wasn't going to stop KWP from getting through, the second follow through did the damage and was the one that should be punished. Makes a change to get a decision anyhow. "Birdbrain" was consistently bad towards both sides.

I'm always a saints supporter through and through but I will always call as I see it. That wasn't a penalty and VAR is making our game too cleansed. A draw would have been a fair result but luck bites you in football and I expect that we will be complaining about the decision-making later in the season.

 

Fantastic pen by Ings it has to be said. It's also the first real pressure pen that he's taken. The ones against Bournemouth, Sheffield United and Spurs didn't have a lot riding on them. This one was massive and he dispatched it so confidently. Thankfully no more stuttering pens.

 

Not sure how I feel about that. Obviously pleased with 3 points but feels like we didn’t really earn/deserve them.
