Football supporters are as soft as muck, win and all's well. I wanted Donald and Methven's control of our club to end completely and I believe it has .... ... the alternative would be much worse.
Mrs K has just followed him as well. I assume he will now follow her? I’ve got nee idea how any of that works.
and amazingly, the B&W arse is being negative about us (I assume this from the tweet that appears to dismiss the takeover)
I don't know about anyone else but if I had to say who is going to be pulling the football strings at Sunderland, it would be Speakman. He mentioned autonomy about five times in his intro piece and I'm canny certain he did that so people picked up on it. I can't see why he would come here if he had to run all the decisions past Don. Don sold off loads of our decent youth yet one of the main thrusts from Speakman was about developing youth and having a clear pathway into the first team for them. I really can't see Don having such a radical change in position tbh so not convinced him or his ethos has that much bearing in what happens at the club anymore.
Exactly but that doesn't stop people claiming they know that Donald is in control, Rodwell appointed the manager and Pearson turned us down. I doubt any of these new things would be happening without Sartori and Dreyfus. In our current plight what's happening is wonderful imo. If things don't work we now have the backing to change things, with Donald the club was dying. You can either choose to believe things won't get better or that they will ... ... I know which I'm going for.
Interestingly he just accepted mine this morning too after being 'requested' 3 or 4 days ago. A sign.....? I'll take anything at the minute
People are saying CM, JS and SD hold a controlling 60% stake in the club as if they're all in some plot together. TBH I doubt that's the case but, even if it is, that plot is surely to make the club successful, gain promotion and give us a winning team. If we also have Murray, Short and Storey in the consortium I couldn't care less if they make a success of it. I doubt Donald & Methven, even if they had 100 times the money, would be putting in the structure we're now building.
Think I am the opposite of a lot of posters on here in that I am pleased there are changes happening. Saturday only cemented what I have thought for a while that the trouble at our club runs deeper than just manager and first team. I welcome the changes ahead and believe we are now finally moving towards a new era. I hope the turnaround is noticeable and we see improvement sooner rather than later. But if as a supporter I have to be little more patient then if there is noticeable changes(which there has been already) and I believe we are heading in the right direction then so be it. It is about long term vision and what is best for the club moving forward that counts.
I’m going for option K) none of the above, wait and see what happens, can see positives but also negatives so just call me spelky cos I’m gonna sit on the Fence and watch what happens
Everyone's watching what happens, we're all in exactly the same boat, I doubt anyone thinks all our problems are solved. I can see how it feels wise to sit back and not get excited but you can do that forever. I've already seen people say they can't get carried away, even if we go up, because they want to see how the squad rebuilding pans out. Sod that, I'll get excited now because I may as well ... ... whether I get excited, or not, failure would seem just as bad.
I got giddy when Donald took over, bought into his words like many other, fingers burnt shall we say. This time I’m meh, wait and see. That’s what the frauds have done to the club.
If it gets Sunderland back up the leagues and actually competing in the EPL then it’s all for a good cause, although what he would see in a 51 year old is beyond me.
The club seem to be getting their ducks in a row for the first time in a long time. In a way, I'm sort of pleased Saturday gone was a total ****-show. It allowed all of the new people to see exactly what state the perfomance side of things is in currently, warts and all. We've had a fair few 'papering over the cracks' style wins this season and ultimately they only serve to do exactly that. Johnson and Speakman have seen it first hand now and can put plans/sessions/targets in place to begin to address the issues we have.
