I returned after several years of barely posting, Michael, and was warmly welcomed by my Not606ian brethren.

I'm sure we can excuse your absence :cheesy:

'How Not To Be Wrong: The Art of Changing Your Mind' and 'How To Be Right... in a World Gone Wrong' by the people's presenter, James O'Brien.

I particularly enjoyed the latter. With an opening sentence like:

"I am a very rare beast. I am a liberal talk show host. And as such, my job is something of a contradiction. The true liberal is cursed with a desire, even a duty, to understand other points of view. It's a world view that admits disagreement and dissent but seeks to establish objective parameters by which the fundamental truth of things can be judged"

    ...how could I not?

As I purchased a second edition it contained quotes of praise from such esteemed individuals as Emily Maitlis, Susanna Reid, Danny Wallace, Krishnan Guru Murthy, Bridget Christie, Elizabeth Day, Ian Dunt, Stewart Lee, Robert Webb and Caitlin Moran, plus, most excitingly, no less a personage than Sir Gary of Lineker.

Many thanks to my good friend Tobias for the recommendation <ok>

I haven't read a single book this pandemic and I've played over 1,000 hours of Age of Empires II online.

I'm not sure I have a point to that statement, other than I'm currently doing **** all with my life.

P.S. previously done Sapiens by the jewish fella, and lots of Adam Smith
