Agree, his sacking on Sun and he hiring Of Speakman gave me hope, but I still believe what I’m being told. We don’t know Speakman’s circumstances at Birmingham. We don’t know what he’s been told. As I’ve always said I hope I’m wrong, but 6 months later and still no takeover. But if you honestly don’t think the 3 stooges are amateurish and this glosses over the horrific 3 season they’ve over seen them you’re easily pleased. Their handling of the club is disgusting

I think calling any safc a simpleton for showing pessimism right now is bang out of order. I'm quite optimistic right now but I an totally understand why part of a fan base who've put up with what we have over the last decade would be cautious or negative. It's 100% up to the owners and management to change that.
As I’ve explained, I don’t normally write on these forums as this experience has showed people accept info too easily and just get themselves in a frenzy and arguments start. As I’ve again also said, nothing will change till the 3 stooges are gone. We could sign a new player to score 20 goals, or a new manager who actually knows what they are doing, but we will always be held back by SD, CM and JS. It’s the long term plan of the club I’m bothered about, and the longer fans keep believing something is happening on Feb takeover front the easier they are let of the hook
would be good to hear some kind of announcement today, just to give everyone a bit of a lift. With O'nien and Gooch out for weeks we need to pull out all the stops to get through 5 games until boxing day, so some kind of feelgood news would be very welcome. I'm hoping there's enough positivity around the deal for the players to pick up on, I'm sure that ( if announced) LJ would at least have some input today, if only an introduction and maybe a dressing room pep talk. The takeover has to be done. There wouldn't be anywhere near the level of activity we've seen in recent days if it was still way off. Not in the know at all but common sense tells me its signed off awaiting whatever before announcement. The whatever is probably the sacking of Parkinson and having a new man in. Wouldn't be surprised if Johnson announced today and the takeover announced within next 7 days at an appropriate moment when dust settles a bit after recruitment carry on and the management team are ready to face the inevitable media requirements.
Why don’t you just admit you were wrong? In many posts only a few months ago you were adamant that a takeover was nowhere near and wouldn’t happen in the near future. Now trying to argue that this isn’t a takeover does not vindicate you. It’s semantics, as Prehab has said, but the bottom line is Stewart Donald is no longer the major shareholder, and Sartori + KDL together are. That’s a takeover in many people’s books, and something you were arrogantly saying would not happen. So you were wrong. And now you are saying Johnson isn’t close to signing? Or am I misreading that? Because he is clearly about to sign/already signed. Apologies if I’ve misread what you’ve said but it seems to be that you’re saying Johnson will run once he speaks to the club. By all accounts that’s all done and dusted.

We don't know what Speakman's position was at Birmingham no, but we know a little bit about what he's been told here following his initial interview yesterday and it is a million miles away from anything Donald and Co have offered us since they've been here. I fully agree that at least two of the stooges are amateurish, clueless and have handled our club with utter contempt and incompetence since they arrived. Sartori we know next to nothing about because, by and large hes been silent thus far. With that being said it could not be possible for Donald and Methven to have the vision nor the money to implement to changes that have taken place over the past week. Speakman talked about a clear plan and a budget within which to work and has identified a head coach to work within this new structure and vision. A coach who when interview about his next role was talking about a Championship club or higher. We have Dave Jones on Twitter calling this the 'start of a new era' and noises within L'Equipe and the Guardian about KLD and their hiring of a recruitment team in finding our new SpD. This is not the work of the current regime who are incompetent, amateurish and clueless. It points directly to the start of a new era under new owners calling the shots moving forward.

What a stupid post. You can have all the hope you want mate, I only hope this Manager can give you what you want. After supporting this club for over 55 years I only want the best for all of us. I’m not impressed with this appointment, get over it.
