This may have been reported elsewhere, but on the OS, 'Salisu in contention'. The headline doesn't say what he's in contention for. Coach driver? Tea boy? Programme seller? Alternatively, we may have more options in defence that we can shake a sh*tty stick at. Or something.
So we could have Ings, Salisu and Redders available for Monday. Even if they are only available to come off the bench it pressures those on the pitch to keep them off.
If Brighton are without Maupay and go more direct with Connolly his pace could cause us problems and perhaps we should consider a change at centre back?
I’m actually happy to have them on the bench. The current starters have played pretty well and then faded and we’ve had no one on the bench to stop that. Having these 3 available is a big deal and bringing Danny on for the 2nd half would be a real morale booster for everyone
Found this https://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Football Players/Joakim Maehle . Do we need another right back? Kyle Walker-Peters has been ever present with Yan Valery as backup.
I haven’t given up on Joey Veerman yet. Heerenveen said at the end of the last window that they’d probably have to let him go in January: https://www.mediareferee.com/2020/1...ould-reignite-their-interest-in-joey-veerman/
In fact, as we’re less than a month away, it’s probably time for a Rumours thread, which will appear directly.
Win at Brighton and Saints finally reach the rarified landmark 1000pts accrued in the PL, according to this table; https://www.statbunker.com/alltimestats/AllTimeLeagueTable?comp_code=EPL
Personally, if we can get through this match without Danny, happy days, as we don't need to risk him at present. I agree the present lads have done well, last week was a blip and I'm pretty sure Ralph has got a plan to remedy any problems!
